I am glad to apply the knowledge you taught me to help you regarding someone

dear to you. Here is my judgment.

First of all, upapada is in Sg. The 8th from there is afflicted by Rahu. The

2nd from there has the strong malefic presense of Saturn. Overall, Saturn

and nodes being on the 2nd/8th axis from upapada does not augur well for the

length of his marriage. However, upapada lord Jupiter is in 3rd from it and

he is reasonably strong. THAT gives some hope. Can the native fast on

Thursdays? Moon is the 8th lord from upapada and counters the argala on

upapada by the 2nd lord from upapada. If the native can fast on Thursdays

(Sg) and pray to Chamundeswari (Moon in Sc) after sunset, it will

tremendously help his marriage. Please advise him accordingly.

The hora lord is Mars, who owns 3rd and 8th and occupies 8th. This is a year

of worries, setbacks and hard work that finally ends up being useful. Rahu

and Saturn occupy the 8th from upapada in Libra. Rahu's annual dasa runs

from June 28, 2002 to Aug 7, 2002. In navamsa also, Rahu occupies the 8th

house in argumentative, analytical and intelligent Virgo. He shows a lot of

arguments.

However, Jupiter occupies navamsa lagna. In Jupiter's antardasa during July

27-Aug 3, he's getting advice from an astrologer!

Rahu's antardasa in Rahu's dasa will run during Aug 3-7 and that will be

very tough. But, Venus dasa runs during Aug 7-Oct 16. In rasi, Venus is

upapada lord in 7th from upapada with Mars. Being upapada lord, he restrains

Mars from breaking marriage. In navamsa, he is yogakaraka (4th and 9th lord)

and joins lagna lord in 5th and aspects 7th lord Sun in 11th. While the

Sun-Saturn mutual aspect tries to wreak havoc on the marriage (lagna and 7th

lords!), yogakaraka Venus tries to patch up between them. I honestly expect

that Aug 7-Oct 16 will be a lot better than the last 30-40 days.

However, he has started Saturn's Moola dasa in 2001 and the next several

years will not be very smooth.

Based on Vimsottari dasa, Mercury's antardasa is running in Moon dasa.

Mercury owns 8th from Moon. He is also the badhaka lord and maraka lord from

upapada. In navamsa also, he is the 8th lord afflicting lagna lord. When

Mercury's antardasa ends in November, things should be better.

Take transits. His navamsa Moon is in Pisces. Until recently, Saturn had a

beneficial Taurus transit (3rd from Pisces). But recently he moved to the

4th house (Gemini). From there, he causes vedha on Jupiter's favorable 5th

house transit. In addition, he becomes kantaka for marital happiness. He

attacks the marital sukha. After Sun, Mars and Mercury move from Cn to Le

(5th to 6th), there should be a marked improvement.

Last year, the native started running Taurus drigdasa aspecting AL. His

sleeping spirituality will awaken now. The native has Moon in Gemini in

D-24. So Jupiter's current Cancer transit is excellent for pursuing

traditional knowledge!

One more point: Look at Sun's navamsa progression. In Nov 1999, progressed

Sun was very close to Rahu. Naturally, the native married a foreigner! A

year from now, progressed Sun will tough preeti sahamam!

The native is running D1 Narayana Dasa of Cp-Ge as of now. Cp has

Saturn and as per Pachakadi Sambandha, it destroys the 6H from it,

which incidentally is Gemini itself. Gemini is 4H i.e Sukha-Sthana

and hence it gets marred. Gemini houses Vivaha Saham and which gets

affected too. Add to this, the transit of Saturn in Gemini, the

situation becomes clearer. Saturn is transiting in 8H from Moon and

qualifies as Kantaka Shani. Gemini also happens to be 7H from UL!!

Taking Capricorn as Lagna, Gemini is the 6H which is a sashtaka-

ashtaka combination. Now, 6L Mercury is with 12L Jupiter and

Baadhaka lord Mars in 2H of family!!!

Saturn is 2L from UL and has the responsibility of sustaining the

UL. It is also the 3L from UL which indicates the longevity of UL.

In Navamsa it is in 4h of Sukha-Sthana. It is also his Ishta Devata.

Hence, in our opinion(Myself & Sanjay Prabhakaran), praying to

SatyaNarayana on full moon days, i.e observing Satya Narayana Vrata

shd help immensely. Moreover, As Saturn is in 4h from D9, he will

love doing so.

Moon as the 8L from UL is also debilitated, so strengthening Moon is

also a good idea. I was wondering, if we can club, Saturn & Moon

together, i.e taking the Saturnine form of Moon(Mother) i.e Kali and

worshipping her!!!

Regarding the chart in question and the marriage.

For starters hes got the exalted 8th lordVenus conjoined the 6th lord

Sun in the lagna and they are aspecting the 7th house.

This chart has many factors against marriage. UL is 12 th from AL.

The 7th lord is in the 12 th house.Venus karaka of spouse is

conjoined Sun,who is the 6th lord,etc. Mars aspects the 7th house and

is conjoined the 7th lord, Mercury.

In the navamsa the Lagna is owned by Sat-a neuter conjoined Mercury

and aspected by Ketu by rasi drishti.

UL is in the 8th house.The 7th lord Sunand A7 is in scorpio, and also

aspected by Sat/Merc.And by rasi drishti 7th lord is aspected by Rahu

and Ketu.

Another factor is..possibilites of children arent so good with Rahu

in the 5th and aspected by Sat.By rasi dristi deb moon.

Jupiter, karaka of children is in the 12th house.Perhaps he will

adopt some or will marry a woman with children.Was he married prior

to this one, or did he have relationship for awhile before marriage?

It is possible that there is a lack of sexual happiness

seperation/coldness between the couple, maybe some temptations of

infidelity on one side because of this and grief. Second from UL is

Sat/Ketu.

Part of the problem is unrealistic ideas of what the marriage would

be.

I think originally it might of been a love marriage, as Moon

vimshotari was happening. Rahu(foreigner) is in A7, and Moon is also

aspected by Rahu.He could've moved to foreign land and married and

had great success there.Great Raja and Dhana yogas there.

What could help?...

Jupiter could help hold it together, he could fast on thursdays(lord

of UL)but I am not sure the marriage will last for long.

Right now is especially difficult as ketu is on his afflicted Moon.

Would be good to strengthen Moon.Moon is also strengthened by mantras

and meditation.It could get worse, as transiting Sat aspects his UL

and lagna. Jupiter will now be in his A7, aspecting his 5th lord

(moon) and lagna. Mars Major period will be different very different

than Moon Dasha.

Narayana dasha he is in major period of Cap. Cap has Sat and Ketu(A3)

not so good for marriage and it is 2nd from UL.

Will his marriage get better?He will be in Moon /Ketu in few months.

It could go up or down, but maybe he just ends up renouncing it all.

He is in period of AK. AK is deb ,Rasi sandhi 29' also

gandanta,etc.so he will suffer some. In navamsa Moon is in Pisces

with exalted moon so his deb is mitigated and he will learn more

loving,patience,compassion during this time.

12th from MoonAK is aquarious aspected by Sat-graha dristi and ketu

by rasi drishti.So would that be Lord Shiva and Ganesha?

Curious if he could have some affliction from ghosts? Moon is

Please comment and correct on my attempt on this so that going forward i may learn better.

Lagna is pisces and the 7th lord mercury is in the 12th. The 7th house which

also is the bhadhak house recieves Drishti from Venus and Sun. Venus for this

lagna is a malefic on the account of owning the lord of 3rd and 8th and Sun the

lord of 6th. The 7th lord Mercury is hemmed inbetween Sun on one side and Saturn

and Ketu on the other. Aq navamsa lagna rises with the 7th lord sun quite well

placed in the 10th a kendra. This seems better than the rasi afflictions to the

7th house matters.

Upapada.

UL falls in Saggitarius and UL is aspected by Sun and venus.... both sun and

venus being malefics for PI lagna. 2nd from UL has saturn and ketu. (Ketu's

position seems to give a hint regarding the way out of this problem in terms of

remedies.... ). The 2nd from UL is being aspected by moon who is debilitated.

moon rules the 5th house, cancer and Cn also happens to be the A7. Hence it is

possible that the current problems are from people around. (a7 also shows who

one associates with).

One other way to see where the problems come from is to see the 12th from UL.

Again this is occupied by moon.

AL and UL are in 2-12 again pointing to the problems.

Dasa in operation.

Narayana dasa of Cp-Ge is currently in operation. Cp is the 2nd from UL. The

sign Cp get;s argala from Aq and also from 3 planets in Cp viz. Merc, Jup and

Mars. Mercury also is the Badhaeksh for UL too.. pointing to communication

problems (Cp is also the A3 showing communication)... Jup's argala seems to be

the saving grace on Cp indicating that elders and perceptors will advice him

and show him the right path....(Jup also is the DK) Mars argala ofcourse gives

rises to arguements and fights (mars is the MK). There is no counter-argala

from Sg. The Antar Dasa is that of Ge which is the 7th from UL and the bhadhak

sthana. It;s lord is giving argala on the dasa rasi as mentioned earlier. Also

the fact that Rahu in Cn having A7 having a graha drishti again points to

interference from people. Thankfully since it;s only a graha drishti, it;s a

mere desire and with time this could go away. The next Dasa is that of Cp-Cn

which could make things worse becouse of the nodal axis and Cn lord placed in

the 12th from UL.

>From a Vim. Dasa angle,, moon dasa is on. Moon is the 8th lord from UL, and is

placed in the 12th from UL. The AD is that of Merc again the 7th lord and

bhadhaka from Lagna as well as from UL. The AD is merc again is the 7th from

the karaka venus.

Since ketu is in the 2nd from UL there is hope and also there isnt any

afflictions in the Navamsa (when compared to the Rasi). Fasting on thursday

would be an approriate remedy.

Dear Sanjaiji,

Please find my analysis below (since a number of

jyothishas have already explained in detail, i am not posting a

detailed analysis).

Saturn being the 2nd Lord from UL should be strengthened .

Moon is the AK and the Navamsa Lagna is in 12th from AK , the native

is inherently spiritual . Saturn being the Navamsa Lagna Lord and

being in 4th from Navamsa Lagna , The native feels joy when doing

tapasya on saturn related deitys and also helps in attaining bliss

(12th from AK).

Moon being AK , 8th Lord from UL and being a think friend of Jupiter

(Lord of UL), should be strengthened.

It is important to note that Moon gets Neechanbanga from Venus &

Venus is exalted & Vargottama in Rasi Lagna . So clearly the Spouse

does help the native (Moon being AK and Venus being karaka for

spouse). Moon is also with Venus in 2nd from Navamsa Lagna.

Strengthening Venus will inturn Strengthen Moon.

Viewing the relationship between Moon & Venus, the spouse helps the

native by satisfying his mental desires (by providing stability to

mind) and also desires of the soul.

Due to the importance gained by Venus due to Moon , i do not see a

break in Marriage during Moon dasa . The native will learn & live

with spouse during this time.

Dear Sanjayji,

Namaste!

He/she is running Moon vimsottari dasa: Moon in 9th H. rules the 5th

house & is debilitated (neechabhanga raja yoga), keemadruma yoga, & also

gandhanta. This tells of a life where his spirituality truly wakes up.

With Rahu afflicting the Moon from the 5th house, and transitting nodal

axis affecting it very deeply now, this is a wake-up period for him

personally. If he uses self-inquiry this practice will be particularly

effective for him now. In Mercury bhukti he needs to examine his own

emotions & reactions to his spouse.

He has a great desire for children & problems in that regard -- perhaps

they lost a child last year, when T. Saturn was aspecting his Moon, &

probably difficulty in concieving is causing problems in the marriage.

But I think they will have a child after June of next year if they can

stay together & do some remedies & tapasya during his Ketu bhukti, which

you would be the best at advising them (I haven't gotten to your Remedies

book yet!), concieving while T. Jupiter is still in his 5th H(9th from

his Moon)in exaltation, & he is in Ketu bhukti. Right now T. Saturn is

aspecting his UL & affecting his own happiness & their marital

happiness, also & perhaps this is the time to work on their compatibility

/ sexual issues.

Dear Karyne

Thanks for the reading. I guess you are very pointed about tat spiritual

awakening. I was also thinking about this. Yes it should happen now. You are

very right about that child issue although he does not admit it or perhaps

has a different perception. If they live together..I am hoping against hope.

I had predicted about 15 years back!! that his son will be a senator. Let

the son come first..remedy. I don't know whether he will keep a simple fast

on all thursdays from Sunrise to sunset.
