Guest guest
Respected Gurudev, Thank you very much for the reply. Am I to only collect astrology books in this birth and wait for some other birth to study this subject? Why am I not able to concentrate when I try to study astrology? Gurudev,Please guide me. Guest guest
om jaya jagannatha ------------------ Dear Jagmeet, Do not fret. The worrying shows that, not only are you concerned about your progress( a good indication) and that you are also making sufficient progress!!! Astrology is like a vast ocean and one is likely to get lost. But the more one tries, the more comfortable one gets. However, this is where an enlightened being(Deva) guides you in the correct direction by removing the darkness of ignorance(Guru). Hence when the time is right, you will find your Gurudeva. I must say, that you have a wonderful chart. So dont lose hope. Jupiter aspects the houses 2, 5, 8 & 11 in D1. He has either aspect or argala over these houses in Navamsa and Siddhamsa. You are running the Dasa of Sun. Sun is the 5L of intelligence in 8H of occult. He has a yoga with Saturn the 10L here. This is a good yoga, and will help you in Astrological pursuits. Now Saturn is also a badhakesh and hence you will face some obstacles. In D24 or Siddhamsa, Sun himself is the baadhakesh. So, all in all, there will be obstacles in your path. Hence, before you start your reading, please pray to Lord Ganesha who is Vigneshwara or the remover of all obstacles. Nevertheless you will definitely make strides. Here Sun is in star of Mercury which is in 9H. The next dasa of Moon in 4H in own house is also in star of Mercury in 9H(all in D1). Incidentally, Moon is conjoined with two other benefics Mercury & Jupiter in Siddhamsa and will help you in Jyotisha related activities. Your Ishta Devata is Laksmi(Venus), and repeated chanting of the Dasakshari Mantra "Om Namo Lakshmi Narayanaya" will help. Venus is also your Siddhamsa Lagna lord. Now for some practical tips on studying. Start with something simple, focus on general rules of judgement given in various texts, take charts and try understanding. Make notes. Participate in chats, we have various members always online, discussing, this will help you a lot. Try and attempt charts here. If you make mistakes its ok. Learn from them. Observe how other people attempt charts. That will teach you a lot. I myself learn more by examples than by reading abstract statements. So I always analyze Narasimha's & other members examples. Go through the archives. All these techniques will help. Good Luck. Guest guest
om jaya jagannatha ------------------ Dear Jagmeet, One more thing, you might also wanna start inculcating the regular practice of meditation & pranayama in your life. This helps the mind from wandering, and brings in qualities like steadiness & awareness. Before you start reading Jyotisha or meditation or for that matter before you begin your day, please consider chanting the following Ganesha Mantra: Om Ekadantaaya Vidmahe Vakratundaaya Dhimahi Tanno Buddhih Prachodayaat One more advice ... before I finally stop bothering you ). Instead of asking a negative question like the one you did, try channeling your mind in positive direction, by asking positive questions, like "How can I improve my reading habbits?" whereby the mind searches for positive answers. Guest guest
Om Namo Lakshmi Narayanaya Friends, the reason I am taking up so much of bandwidth is not that I want to blow my own trumpet but it is just that I want some guidance from the learned ones. Dear Skanda Ji, Thank you very much for having taken time to reply to my query. It has given me lot of hope. I wanted to assimilate what you have written and put my thoughts together before replying, hence the delay in thanking you. I haven't taken any Mantra Diksha but I do the following. I do light a jyot(I am changing over to Diya)and agarbatti everyday and pray in the temple in my bedroom. I start with the following Mantra of Lord Ganesah, as suggested by Sanjay Ji for a swetark Ganapathi(which belonged to late Pandit Kapildev Mishra Ji who was an astrologer, face reader and Karamkand expert). In fact all the Yantras and Sphatik shivlinga were given to me by him after Pranpartista during the period of 1991 to 1995. I became a vegetarian in 1991.Pandit Ji had himself taken out the swetark root and got The Ganapati made as per proper raftsman Ji was given to me by his wife after his passing away in 1995 . Suklambaram dharam Vishnu Sashi varnam chaturbhujam Prasanna badanam dhyayet sarva vighnopa-shantayet. 2)Surya mantra-Om Adidev Namstbhay parsidhha mam bhaskar diwakar namastute.(surya Yantra) 3)Vishnu mantra-Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudeva(Photo) 4)Shiva Mantra-Om Namo Shiva(Shafatik Shivalinga) 5)Durga Mantra-Om Namo Chamunde Viche(Photo) 6)Gayatri Mantra-Om Tatsvitu Varniyam Vargo Devsay Dhemi Dhei yo Na Prchodayat.(Yantra) As sugested by Gurudev in VRA,I do not use Bhurva swaha in the mantra(Yantra) 7)Shri Yantra Mantra-Om Shri Hrem Shri Hrem Shri Kamale kamalaye parsheed parsed shri hrem shri Mahalaxmay namah. 8)Hanuman Mantra-I have got a framed picture of Hanumanji with five diffrent faces.I was given this Calendra in Chilka in Orrisa by a liquor store owner. Om shri pancvadnaye namha panchvakrtam mahabhim tripunchuratm bhabhidrusa miyurtkam sarva kamarth siddhidam. Guru-Mangala-Chandala Yoga in my horoscope will not let Guru find me that easily.I think I really must have messed up things a lot in the past. But I remember reading that Three of them connected together do indicate Kripa of Lord Hanuman and I have felt the same. Skand Ji,Please correct me if I am wrong.I think Mahadasha of Sun(5th lord in 8th),Moon(4th lord in 4th),should bring about more pursuit of astrology.Mangal(lagna Lord,AK and in Nakastra of Guru)should bring about more pursuit of a spirtual life. Should Ruby be worn to strengthen Sun as it is in 8th house during the ongoing Dasha?
