Guest guest
Would somebody please tell me something about ashtamasani. I understand that it occurs when Saturn transits the eighth house from the natal Moon; and that period would last for 2.5 years. But I believe that the most significant period is supposed to be only a one-month transit - correct? How is this one-month period determined (i.e. the degrees)? And where could I look up some general information about the results of this period? Thanks in advance.
Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Sunny, The eighth house transit of Saturn is called Ashtama Sani. In addition to the natal Moon sign, this transit is also reckoned from Lagna and the Arudha Lagna. Such a transit is considered extremely inauspicious as it aspects the tenth house indicating changes in the professional front to the detriment of the native. He maybe forced by circumstances to accept a transfer or a new job that is not at all suitable or to his liking. Often this is associated with a change of residence to a difficult and sometimes hostile environment. The reputation suffers as he is overburdened with work or the salary is reduced or the organisation he works for may shut down and large-scale layoff may occur. The aspect of Saturn on the second house, during such an eighth house transit causes the native to partake of unhealthy and stale food causing ill health. The stored wealth and grains are depleted causing financial losses. The aspect of Saturn on the fifth house causes him to forget the mantra and prayers and become undisciplined. He tends to ignore his Ista devata only to his own detriment. As this is the eighth house, this can also cause separation from near and dear ones or death of spouse. Divorces can occur during such a transit if other parameters in the natal chart also point to this. Since the natural deity for the eighth house is Rudra, the remedy lies in the worship of Rudra. Recitation of Chamakam (published in July 2000 issue of Jyotish Digest), or the Baudayana Rudra mantra along with Rudrabhishek. Guest guest
Jai Guru Dev Dear Gurus, One small question. Would you advise what does bigger suffering give: Sa transit through AL, Ch or La, 8 house and 10 house from Al, Ch and La? Example, I have Al in 4th and Ch in 10th. Sa transit gives: 1st house - 8 house from Ch and 1st of La and 10th of Al 2nd house - 2nd house of La 3d house - 10th house of Ch and 12th house of Al 4th house - 1st house of AL 5th house - 12th house of Ch 6th house - 1th house of Ch 7th house - 2nd house of Ch 8th house - 8th house of La 9th house - ? 10th house - 10th house of La 11th house - 8th house of Al 12th house - 12th house of La I think, other have similar situation. Does it mean, we have suffering only, but for different aspects of life in different period of time?
