Guest guest
OM GURAVE NAMAH Dear List In Vedic Astrology it has been emphasised that the application of Desha Kala and Patra are important to the dileanation of a horoscope yet all the experts do spontaneasly give readings to abstract queries appearing on all the discussion lists very confidantly. Is this the right thing to do? Would'nt it lack credibility in case we are missing out on these aspects? At least in a personal consultation where the person is present and there is opportunity to aquaint with at least superficially in these aspects. Will be grateful for your comments. Thanks and God Bless. Guest guest
Dear Purushothaman, This is important in every field of reality. The goal of samskr`ti(culture-a loose word in "incomplete" and Imperfect language" is to take its practitioner to reach the Changeless. So, the litmus test of a winning culture is just shallow and misleading. Scores of R`shis and sages have indicated that, if we were to have happiness in our personal and social life, saadhaaraNa Dharma should never change with time and place, because, it has the very features of Almighty we want to become (these are the yama- niyama features of Yoga: satya, ahimsa, aasteya, aparigraha, shaucha, santosha, tapas, swaadhyaaya, Ishwara praaniDhaana). What changes with time and place is the yuga Dharma or the vishesha Dharma. The former is sanaatana, the latter subject to change as long as it remians within the bounds of sanaatana Dharma (i.e., in other words, the Vedas). Again, which part changes with time at a given place? The seasons and the weather! Which changes with place at a given time? The weather only. Thus, desha-kaala adjustments mean only adjusting our lifestyle (& therefore our culture) to the weather only, and not to the asuri whims of the prevailing society. We must not miss this clarity of walking on Dharma and must not mix change of desha-kaala adjustment to adjusting or compromising to an asuri culture. Accepting sexual relations because one inhabits in West is non-sense. Now english educated hindu tribe is deeply sunk in such germanic thrash. vedic astrology, "S Purushothaman" <purush@s...> wrote: > OM GURAVE NAMAH > > Dear List > > In Vedic Astrology it has been emphasised that the application of Desha Kala > and Patra are important to the dileanation of a horoscope yet all the > experts do spontaneasly give readings to abstract queries appearing on all > the discussion lists very confidantly. Is this the right thing to do? > Would'nt it lack credibility in case we are missing out on these aspects? At > least in a personal consultation where the person is present and there is > opportunity to aquaint with at least superficially in these aspects. Will be > grateful for your comments. Thanks and God Bless. > > Love and Regards > S Purushothaman
Guest guest
Dear Mr Reddy I have read a few of your emails and I disagree with your thinking. First of all the the query of Mr. Purshottum was quite different then what you answered and also please let me clarify. The Maya of God always changes, and so in different Yugas, different Rishis have emphasised more efficaious methods for each yuga, in KaliYug it just Harinaam enough to get past. Also in different times the body is different so the capacity or purity i.e. one can apply many different angles can be quite different so although in thoery the Yamas and Niyamas are same however there application can vary with time, place in ways that are more condusive to time, place and body. Self realization is about tolerance, love, forgiveness and also there is only one God, call it Narayan, call it Jesus or Allah. All paths lead to same universal one and only one truth. No difference at all. All this what happens around is Maya (ever changing) and it is false. Further please donot talk about Sex and West, There is and there was always more sex in India at all times, do not be a hypocrite. it is everywhere, why give much importance to just one other indriya function. Please refraining from bashing West or Non-Indians, Hinduism does not teach that at all. By the way I am Hindu too, there are many great things in the West as well as East, one must try to accept good moral things and overcome not good things. Mr Purshotum's point is quite correct and it very valid. --- venkateshwara_reddy <venkateshwara_reddy wrote: > Dear Purushothaman, > This is important in every field of reality. > > The goal of samskr`ti(culture-a loose word in > "incomplete" and > Imperfect language" is to take its practitioner to > reach the > Changeless.
