Exalted but Retrograde jupiter

In reading the following chart

79W deg 27' Long

12N deg 30' Lat

time of birth 3:07 AM

31st JANUARY 1967.

 

Jupiter as lord of 2 and 5 is placed in the ninth house but eigth

bhava. He is exalted but retrograde.

Most classical texts, are consistent in decrying the retrograde

exalted benefics. And there is an interesting analysis which I read,

I forgot tha author, which goes to say that Cancer jupiter hold out a

lot of promise but dont deliver (impractical). If retrograde, the

individuals live in thier own worlds and are not successful, because

of thier misinterpretation(/impractical) of idealism.

 

Here, the jupiter 2 nd and 5th lordis in 9th, exalted, has 7 A varga

bindus, reasonable shadvarga bala, attains gajakesri yoga on the

bhava chart, aspected by 10th lord Sun and 11th lord mercury both

functional benefics for scorpio ascendant.

But he is retrograde, in the eigth bhava, his dispositor weak (moon

in 11th but aspected by saturn), the aspecting mercury is combust,

though has many favourable divisional chart placements.

 

The native describes himself as somebody who has varied interests but

seems wanting to keep doing different things. Atleast dreams.

Apparently full of fantasies and searching for stability and

satisfaction.

 

I am finding it difficult to pass a judgement on this elusive cancer

jupiter. Will this jupiter esp during his dasa, which is running at

present, let the native bloom his creativity or will leave him to

continue more of his ethereal castles?
