You made wonderful points. Yep, Vimsottari dasa was excellent in showing the

reason and your points on Saturn are good. Let me add a point.

Paryaya dasa of Shashthamsa is particularly good at showing the periods of

health troubles. For computation, please see Sanjay's book "Jaimini Maharishi's

Upadesa Sutras". For use, you may revisit a couple of posts I made here last

year. Those of you who to EST may have read an article by me last

year on the use of this dasa.

Here the 6th house in D-6 is in Taurus. So start from Taurus. Because it is a

fixed sign, "Sthira Paryaya dasa" applies. It goes as 1st, 7th, 2nd, 8th, 3rd,

9th, 4th, 10th and so on. So dasas go as Ta, Sc, Ge, Sg, Cn, Cp, Le, Aq, Vi,

Pi, Li, Ar. Dasa years are found as in Narayana dasa (but in D-6).

Look at D-6.

You will see that Cancer is the 8th house of suffering containing badhaka

Mercury. Cancer dasa during 1996-2005 is clearly the dasa of suffering.

Moreover, Cancer has aspect and argala from Saturn, Rahu and Ketu in 6th.

The triggering antardasa may have been Cancer itself or Taurus. Especially

Cancer dasa-Taurus AD would've made the problem very serious.

The remedy depends on whether the back problem is due to excess pitta or kapha

or vata. This D-6 makes me think that vata and dryness are the problem. Vata in

nerves and muscles may be the problem. The mantra prescribed by you is good. In

addition, some ayurvedic remedies may be of help. But, based on what I know, I

am not in a position to immediately say something. I am confused a little about

the exact diagnosis. In any case, a good doctor needs to be consulted.

You will see that Sg antardasa runs from May 2003 to March 2004. Sg is lagna and

contains lagna lord Jupiter. This antardasa should bring relief/recovery. This

problem may be chronic, but there is some hope of recovery in 2003. Jupiter may

show a spiritual ayurvedic doctor or a doctor practicing some traditional form

of healing. Try to find such a person during the coming months. In any case,

next year is the vbest time to try anything!
