For general cases (Not a divorcee or widow) rahu is not good in 7th. Is in't

it. He is against Dharma and Vishnu(Jupiter). What ever good they cause Rahu

spoils. Am I correct? One of my friends told me of 2 charts in which both

girls have rahu in 7th. During the Mahadasa of Rahu both did inter-caste

marriage. Marriage with low caste people. He also said that a native with

rahu in 7th when undergoes rahu dasa(major period of rahu) is susceptible to

have extra marital relations with people of low class/caste.comment please

Am sorry to jump into the conversation. Rahu is against dharma, yes but the

house of dharma is the 9th house. As far as the type of marriage and the status

of the spouse is concerned, i think the upapada (UL) and it;s lord needs to be

analysed. Again extramaritial affairs are seen from the 2nd from UL and 2nd

from Navamsa Lagna.

I may be wrong, looking forward to be corrected.

It could be low caste or different culture or a

foreigner, however if Rahu is with jupiter or another

benefic in seventh house then there are no problems.

In many cases it is advisible to marry after 32 years

with rahu in seventh to avoid a break up.

Dear Shailesh,

I do have Ra conjunct with Sa,Ve in my 7th House. You cannot generalise the

readings because 7th house apart from Spouse also involves settlement

abroad, business partnerships etc.

For marriage related things you have to look in to D9 also.

In my case Sa Ra & Ve combination has given me foreign residence, Delayed

marriage (at the age 28). As the conjunction is in 7th house the RY

fructifies later in life which for me started to unfold after the age of 40.

Also note Rahu/Ke in kendras will promote materialism. however if Ra in 9th

from AL will promote spritualism.

As regards Ra's influence in extra marital relations confirm that with Ra's

position in D9. I have Ra in 6th on my D9 and hence no such tendencies.

As mentioned by katti 9 th house is looked for dharma related things.

UL and whether the marriage survives to be seen from the 2nd lord from UL

and it;s afflictions.

and competitions

RA denotes both - 'others', foreigners, as well as outcastes, lowly persons.

But, one needs to 'read' the horoscope as a whole - RA's dispositor, its

What you have stated regarding UL is correct. For

marriage just looking at 7th house is not sufficient. Along with the

2nd from UL , the strength of UL Lord and UL itself is important too.

It also makes sense to give importance to the 8th from UL. Along with

this the Navamsa is critical .

Dear Brahma,

I fully agree with you - one should always take the chart as a whole and, yes, that means D9 too.

7H also indicates partnerships, business, long journeys, etc., in addition to

marriage, but the predominant indications are marital life/ relationships, sex/

passion, spouse & body below navel.

Therefore, we need to llok for secondary indicators, D-charts, etc.

marriage just looking at 7th house is not sufficient. Along with the 2nd from

UL , the strength of UL Lord and UL itself is important too. It also makes

sense to give importance to the 8th from UL. Along with this the Navamsa is

I have only elementary knowledge of Astrology. My reading of this chart is as

follows: I request learned members to correct my mistakes

Mars or Rahu in 7H without benefic aspects indicates that native can have extra marital relations

If 7L or Venus conjoins Rahu or Mars -- Wife can have extra marital relations

Mars in 2,4,7,8,12 Houses is not good for marital life as he can cause

disturbances in marital life if positioned in these houses

INDICATIONS FROM THE CHART

Venus (significator of Marriage and Sexual relations) also the lord of 2H and 7H

conjoins Rahu in 7H. He gets aspects only from Mars (Lagna Lord). No benefic

aspects are seen in the rasi chart. The placement of Venus in Navamsa (D-9) is

in Aries (8H in D-9) with Sun (in exaltation) and is aspected by Rahu, Mars and

Mercury. 7L in D-9 Jupiter is debilitated. -- Nothing is good I suppose.

Sun and Mercury occupied Upapada and are aspected by Jupiter and Moon. – The only good indication.

2nd from Upapada is having aspects from Saturn, and Mars. Saturn occupies A7 and

Lord of A7 is in 12H from it. -- No benefic aspects are seen. A7 is 8H from

Upapada. --- Not good.

Venus Lord of 2&7 House and Significator is highly afflicted.

Affliction to 7House and its’s lord due to the placement of Rahu in 7House

indicates that the native can indulge in extra marital affairs. Also affliction

to Venus (Karaka) indicates his wife also may be of same nature. A7 and Upapada

in D-9 also indicate the same.

Present Dasa Lord Saturn who is in A7 with aspects on Upapada and Lagna (aspect

on lagna cause the native to act like a stupid) influences this behaviour of

native.
