Dear Narasimha,

This last line in one of your previous mails caught my attention.

| The last word is "saranaagatah". If a lady is reading it, read it

| as "saranaagataa".

I was wondering is this is specific to this mantra or something to be

followed for all mantras. Should women pronounce certain syllables

differently? If so why?

Thanks in advance!

Vinod,

It is in sanskrit, and in sanskrit the dhatu, which is the action

(sharan to the lord) has different roopas for male vs female. So it

has nothing to do with different pronounciation but rather a

accurate 'kriyapada' form to be used, thats all.

I hope this helps.
