basic questions how to use strength of planets?

Hello,

 

Assume the following and please explain how to find the resultant

(good or bad)

 

1)planet is jupiter ( natural benific - good)

2)but for that particular lagna, it is a functional malefic

3)but it is in a friend's house

4)but jupiter is retrogate

5)but it is at end of bhava (old age)

 

So now, given these mixed issues, is jupiter having a good or bad

effect on second house?

Is the effect strong or weak?

 

Is there any mathematical way to decide this using strength of houses?
