I am not as worried about Saturn in the Lagna as Mohan. And I am confident that the strength of 9th Lord Mercury, the dispositor of debilitated lagna lord Venus will ultimately protect her. As I said, I expect the worst to be over by the end of December and further significant progress can be made towards the end of 2003. Obviously this girl is a sensitive person and more than anything else, she needs love and support. You are saying that she gets support from her mother and sisters and this is very helpful. You write that the root cause of the problem is a person(s) in the joint family who neglects her. Is this her grandmother or auntie (Moon in 7th from Arial;color:navy;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB">AL font-family:Arial;color:navy;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB">)? If this is the case, it is probably important that someone from outside of the family tries to mediate between the girl and the person who opposes her. If a person is able to slash herself with scissors, there must be a mixture of extreme desperation and anger and I wonder what her “joint family opponent” has been doing to her to make her so desperate. Is this girl educated? Regards, Arno -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Sarbani Sarkar [sarbani (AT) vsnl (DOT) com] Gesendet bold">: font-family:Tahoma"> Dienstag, 16. The death of her father suddenly when she was 12, and unfortunate circumstances in her joint family, where she is neglected and unloved, though not by her mother and sisters etc. And yes, she has a good chart otherwise with saturn exalted in lagna, sun, mars and jupiter in their own houses. Lucas had given me the indication earlier that the period till 2003/2005 is dicey. My question is how dicey? Can we save her? Is it redeemable? I believe we can. I hope we can. Sarbani Arno Holzmann wrote: Dear Sarbani, namaste After reading your text, I had a very quick look at the girls chart and I began to wonder why she is trying to kill herself. Apart from astrological explanations there could also be some external cause which prompted her to go for such an extreme act. Often suicide attempts are related to disappointments in love. Sometimes they are triggered by severe misunderstandings with the parents. Sometimes, the suicidal tendency is caused by sexual abuse. These are just some common sense considerations which passed though my mind(no astrological reasoning involved). So my question is: Is there an external cause to the suicide attempts or is it due to general depression? At a quick glance, her chart doe not seem unfortunate to me. I think she will overcome this troublesome phase. Once Saturn moves out of the fourth from her Moon in the second half of the year things should begin to look better. Subsequently, she has continued such efforts throughout february and april by cutting and slashing herself with scissors over and over again. Her hands are mutilated and swollen. I wonder constantly at His grace and blessings. Last year apparently she had taken 30-40 of her thyroid pills. Again I wonder how nothing happened. Lucas has explained all that need be for my queries, that this child needs extensive care. Nevertheless I put up this case once more. Having just visited the child over the weekend I am to say the least, shaken and perturbed. Perhaps this sharing might ease me. Her chart is attached. Guest guest
Dear Arno, Like you I too am not worried about saturn in lagna for some reason. I don't know enough astrology but it's just my intuition. But do look at Narasimha's post on Mrityu bhag. He seems to pin point Mercury, while you think Mercury is the protector. Definitely Mercury antardasha has some role to play, because all this began in Mercury antardasha. It is not any one person in the joint family, but 'persons'. But the two of the problem figures are 'mother figures', elder aunties. Yes, indeed she is very desperate as well as sensitive and starving for love and affection. I have advised her mother to take her to a councillor and so has her family physician. The girl is very well educated and is studying in class XII, which is the final year of her schooling. Since last year she is in a well known public school (boarding) of India and has topped her class each time. Extermely intelligent, talented, caring, sensitive, total lack of confidence, guilt complex and feelings of rejection. She is very calm now, and thinks the way out is to end her life.
