Guest guest
Namaste, Would any of the Gurus or other members on the list help me with a Prasna question. The question asked by the wife is will my husband get a transfer and promotion to a foreign country? Time question was asked: April 6, 2002 7:00 a.m. CST 41n46 88w09 I am not good at Prasna and hence am seeking your help and learning in the process. I do not get any payment for helping this person. Just an attempt to provide some peace of mind. Best wishes, --aphoton

Because this is correct, I am taking the data to be correct and proceeding further. The 5 angas of panchanga - tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana - have different roles in predictive astrology. For example, we have to see karana (half-lunar-day) for the success or fruition of something. For longevity (of a person or a venture), we see vaara (weekday). For things relating to wealth and status, we see tithis. Let us see the tithi and karana here and judge the relation of their lords with key signs and planets. Lagna in Aries shows the queror. The 7th lord Venus shows spouse. The 10th therefrom, Capricorn, shows husband's career. Here Vanija karana is running at the time of prasna. Venus rules Vanija karana. As he happens to be the 7th lord, it shows success of husband. The tithi is Krishna dasami. Its lord is Moon. He is in Capricorn. So it shows increased status in husband's career. Tithi and karana are very favorable to the prasna. In addition, if we continue to take Aries containing the 7th lord Venus as lagna, the 5th lord Sun shows husband's promotions. His situation in the 12th may show promotion to a foreign place. He is with 6th lord Mercury and that may show rivals in getting promotion. But Mercury is debilitated and Sun is stronger. So Sun may show promotion (5th) and a change of place (12th) after defeating an indecisive rival (debilitated Mercury). As Sun is in the same danda (spoke) as 7th lord Venus in Kala Chakra (Wheel/Chart of Time), reckoned from lagna in the east, in the direction ruled by Rahu, Sun's influence on husband (Venus) in the chart is likely to attain fruition [for details on Kala Chakra, see Dr. Raman's "Prasna Marga"]. With Venus and Sun being in the danda ruled by Rahu, the foreign influence again comes to the fore. Overall, I am optimistic about the query. Roles played by Moon and Sun show early fruition.
