Rahu, Ketu retrograde.

Hello,

I'm a beginner in Vedic Astrology, as you might have inferred from a

previous mail. I want to read Vedic Astrology, but first I must try to

solve numerous problems in my life.

I think it could help if I knew what are the efects of Rahu and Ketu

retrograde. I read a book of Mr. James Braha's depicting them as

utterly malefic except when in signs ruled by Jupiter or Mercury. If

someone might tell me, please tell me.

Please don't despise me, don't reject me for not being of the Hindu

religion. True, I don't have your wisdom and knowledge; but I do

respect all cultures, and admire particulary Hindu culture. And I

think tolerance is, or should be one of the supreme values to avoid

having this world destroyed.

I would be most grateful if someone would be willing to help me with

this; or at least to recommend me books for learning the basics

of Hindu religion, religious stories, and Astrology. If necessary,

I'll learn another idiom, though I know each one of these goals will

take me years of learning. Even to begin I would need months, but I

would study as diligently as possible.

Thank you very much indeed.

Sincerily,

Alexander C.

In general Rahu and Ketu are always travelling backwards

(retrograde). So that is their usual motion. Although considered

malefic, they do participate in yogas that give them positive powers

as well. It also depends on their locations in the chart, its hard to

make a generic statement.

Dear Mr. Viraj,

Thank you very much for your interest and knowledge. I dared to ask

because on a website (of conventional astrology, which isn't as

developed as the Vedic Astrology) there was something about a "moon

node retrograde" (though I'm just a beginner, and might have made a

mistake), but now I understand.

Thank you very much indeed.

Sincerily,

Alexander C.
