Dear Partha

Many of us, incl me, would be very grateful if you could send your

article on Profession, esp if its ready.

I apologise if I have hurt your feelings in any way. That was not my

intention at all. Being precise is important in counselling, not so

much in puzzles. Moreover, in front of the MahaShivaLingam, all ours

are infinitesimally negligible.

My point in your answer was not to do with precision, but in the

process you chose, which did not, to my mind, lead logically to your

conclusions. OTOH, in my words, u DID "hit bull's eye on the wrong

dartboard". This is VERY important, as it happens a lot with

experienced (& thus intuitive) astrologers. This intuit, in your &

other such minds, we must all unravel.

Many times, intuitive astrologers leave large gaps in explanations, &

jump to various conclusions. They are subconsciously choosing certain

logic-streams & not others. It is very important that u go back to

your mental process when u attempted the puzzle (your 1st, not 2nd

posting), & understand the astro-paths u chose out of other

possibilites. If u do come up with something, let us know - that will

help all of us.

Many moons back, when Mr N Rao's book VAIP had just come out, I had

asked him, wrt a particular example in his book, why he chose Saturn

as the primary logic-stream as karaka for profession , & found

aspects & argalas to it, to determine profession. He had completely

ignored 10, L10, d-10, etc in that SPECIFIC example. He never

answered, tho he answered virtually every other question in that

L..O..N..G e-mail of mine. Which could mean, that experienced

astrologers, DO choose certain references uniquely for a chart, for

reasons they have gathered from experience, but are unable to

explain. Why did influences to Saturn in THAT example explain

profession in THAT chart best.

This multi-reference frame is usually thought of to be Confluence (ie

if from both Moon AND Lagna, or if from all of the relevant karakas

for a domain, etc); sometimes also as meaning different aspects

altogether, for the same question. But I feel, there is some

uniqueness to every chart, depending on the specific planetary

positions, that makes certain reference-frames more useful: Jaimini

strength rules help in initialising dasas, choosing alternatives for

arudhas, etc, but doesn't, for what I am talking about.

So, request u to meditate on your thought process when u first saw

that chart- if u come up with anything, do let us know.

Further, in the same puzzle, nobody has answered why Jup with clear

NBRajYog, not just negation of deb, has been SO ineffective. Also,

nobody has clearly also explained the such a STARK difference among

the 2 brothers- in intelligence & achievement. Please try.

Best wishes

PS have u started daily meditation, as instructed in the SJVC

initiation process? I just have, along with my 5 yr old son, after so

many many years (last was with my dad when I was my son's current

age). My dad does, for the last 75 years. I have long last restarted.

It helps.
