Guest guest
Dear friends We need to raise our self-expectation standards - which can only come thru greater introspection & not defence. I hope each of u who tried the puzzle is doing this introspection, else the purpose of posting the puzzle is sadly lost. For my own education, I am attempting this puzzle in RETROSPECT, helped by Arno's & others' insights. THIS is how I now read the native's profession in retrospect: As Arno clearly indicated, SATURN is the key profession-karak of this chart (tho some mentioned in passing that St is strong, but did not relate it directly as the key career-karak). Saturn is the final dispositor of the chart, benefic in upachay 11 in own house, & single-handedly dominates over all important career-related significations (lords & houses), directly by conjunction or aspect (except Sun/ Merc/ nodes, which have little role in career in this chart). This job primarily entails a patient thoroughness, with not missing a single detail while reading or entering data - no other planet but SATURN can do this. This quality alone determines his worth to this organisation. Saturn clearly delineates his TYPE of work (& I am NOT relating to his POST, which is seen from the STATE of the 10th lord, or 10 from AL as other's perception of his job). He is a data-entry operator, & will be so in any field - which happens to be finance for the last decade, it was so in a non-finance organisation before that, & we dont know in which field it will be if/ when he leaves this finance organisation. While we have used L10 Jup above, we have ignored 10 itself= Sg unoccupied & aspected only by Ra from 6 (I have no explanation of the insignificance of the direct influence of Ra on 10 in this chart). Workplace= A10= 12= Aq occupied by Ke (= computers, as we all know), influenced mainly by the aspect of Ma, which is irrelevant as it is deb. So he does a patient, detailing job, to do with computers. OTHER's perception of his work= 10 from AL= 6= Le occupied by Ra (??? significations), with no influencing aspects, & its lord Sun (effectively deb, as deb in d-9 over-rides its exaltation in d-1) conj Merc in 2. 2= Finance. So he does a patient, detailing job, to do with computers in a finance company. Now, lets see his general field of employment. Source of Income= 11 from AL. This is Vi unoccupied, aspected by Ve L3/8 & Jp L1/10, with its lord Merc in 2 conj (effectively deb) Sn L6. IF we could eliminate some factors, we could arrive at 2= finance. We could also see Employer= L9. 9 is completely uninfluenced. L9 is deb and is hence not as important a significator as the Source of Income is. His post= perceived status should be seen from 10 from AL. This is unoccupied Le, aspected by Ra (shudra) & whose lord Sun is effectively debilitated (low status). So, ..... THIS is what i mean by atleast trying true introspection, even if in retrospect. Tho I realsise that I have not explained so many of the factors, & chosen ONE of the many factors for a particular aspect to arrive at the answer. But that is JUST the point that I was trying to get thru. How to single out the ONE factor of many. Shadbalas didnt help, AV strength of houses didnt help, confirmations from d-10 didnt help. But am I getting thru?: that using specific rules for specific domains/ questions is inadequate, & I could give the above answer only after all your inputs, which helped me to introspect on the chart much more vividly. However, I still dont understand why Jup which has got NBRY as per all the astro-rules, is obviously not so in this chart. Also, any explanations from d-10 have failed me. Partha, please look at your 2 postings in detail again, see the logic used & the answers. I dont wish to discuss this further with you, after this mail. What u have done is inadequate for me. In summary: In your first posting, from the arth trikon & education karaks, U have arrived at finance/ law/ doctor. Then, from the various co-ordinates of L10 Jp, u have arrived at "mental work, with hands". In your second posting, u have eliminated the 2 other options to arrive at finance. Neither the logic was sufficient for the answers u got in the 1st posting, nor was the answer right. To me. If u r happy with that, so be it. I truly want to introspect more. Partha dear, I have no particular reason to belittle u or praise u. I myself have no astro-reputation to protect either. In good faith, as u HAVE astro-potential, I would desire you to learn more. Hence am taking this time & effort out, at the risk of offending u. I cd have just ignored any reference to you in this mail. But I DO want u to progress further. This is not about a game of throwing various darts, & getting a bull's eye on the wrong dart-board. We MUST be able to, like Arjun, REPEATEDLY throw arrows at the correct place. The trick is in the aiming, not the dart-board; the dart board will keep changing. If astrology was all about occupant, lord & aspects, & their placements, we would have more astrologers than roaches in this planet. Finding the essence of a chart, and thus determining which karak to ignore & which not, is not the domain of shadbala & AV strength & other formulae. It is about the relative influence of all planets, & thus choosing the relevant criteria. Something which we should all introspect & learn, from puzzles like this. Else, we'll learn every technique in all the Nadis that the earth of Mother India has hidden in her bowels, & yet not be able to read charts. It is nice to pat oneself on the back, if the purpose is protecting/ bolstering one's reputation. But if we keep doing that, we'll never be able to introspect enough to dig out astrology's essential secrets. I sincerely hope u get the message. If not, this is my last attempt at any sincere advise to you. The last, many months back, back fired abdly. So if this also fails, I will learn my lesson definitively. I wrote this to the List & not to you alone, as I do NOT want the List to be complacent. ===== Best wishes Nandan ______________________ For live cricket scores download Score Tracker at: http://in.sports./cricket/tracker.html
