Dear Partha

 

You are missing the point of the whole exercise, & taking it

personally. Finance is NOT the right answer. He works for the

operations (ie admin) function of the investment management

department of a finance co. I provide below his exact job-definition:

 

Each working day he gets hundreds of physical-paper deal-slips, which

are the confirmations of various deals done during the day (ie of

shares bought & sold by his department). He physically confirms from

various databases (no computer skills or finance skills required for

that) that there is no mistake in any of the physically written words

on these deal-slips(eg no of shares sold, brokerage paid, broker's

code number, etc).

 

Then he inputs all this into the computer in relevant databases.

Then he prints out various reports which are mostly computer-

generated, signs them and gives to his superior.

 

He is a clerk/ data-entry operator, with no skills required in either

computers or finance.

 

His WORKPLACE is finance, not HIS PROFESSION. He could tomorrow do

the same thing for any operational/ administrative function in any

company. Your first e-mail ref "mental, with hands" was probably the

correctest.

 

Why dont u forget whether u got the right/ wrong answer? I dont think

in this sea of blind astro-hobbyists, someone getting a "right"

answer is THAT important, esp given this type of hit-rate.

 

I am requesting each one of us to reflect on something very important

in my earlier posting. Please do. It will be good for u, & for each

of us, in our learning paths.

 

Also, the elder-brother phenomenon is rare & very interesting. Try &

astro-solve it, tho u know the answer.
