I would say the person is engaged in lower or medium rank commerce. Sun

and Mercury in house 2 look like a good placements for business and 3

planets in house 11 (including Lord of 10) is another pointer in this

direction. He could have been in service at one point, at least in

earlier life (sixth house is strong particularly in dashamsa) and if he

is at all independent he might have inherited a family business or

received help from his wife´s family. Later in life the person is likely

to gain through his children or will be working with them in a family

business.

 

Success will be moderate and will not come without struggles, because

strong malefic Saturn is influencing so many important chart factors

(fifth Lord Moon, Lagna and Lagna Lord, 2nd Lord Mars)and all functional

malefics are very strong (8th Lord exalted in Lagna, 12 th Lord in own

house and 6th Lord exalted in house 2). At the same time, Lagna Lord and

tenth Lord Jupiter is in debilitation but getting cancellation of

debilitation.

 

There may be some gains from speculation but accompanied by losses as

well.

 

Ketu in 10 in dashamsa could indicate routine job or dealing with

foreigners. Venus there could be relating to garments, food, chemicals.

Mars could indicate hardware goods or work that involves fire. Hotel

industry or trading in food, agricultural produce or garments is an

option here, particularly because 10th Lord has sambandha with Moon and

2nd Lord and strong Venus aspects house ten.

 

Some friends suggested medical line or surgeon. In my opinion, 1oth Lord

Jupiter could be a bit more favourably situated for this to happen. Its

debilitation in rashi and dashamsa, plus aspects of saturn and Rahu,

make it rather unlikely. Jupiters weakness reduces the gajakeshari yoga

and raja yoga in house 11. Some beneficial financial results must be

there but I don’t expect them to be spectacular.

May 7, 1961, 4/50 am, Bombay= 5/30 e of gmt, 72e50, 18n58.

 

Caveat: This may be difficult to analyse for some, due to our own

pre-conceived notions about things, & NOT the chart itself. Or because

of our ignoring the HEIRARCHY of astrological factors properly. So do

write-in your reasoning. I know the person professionally very well.

 

Shall give the answer on Thursday, or whenever I receive say 6

attempts, whichever is earlier.
