Guest guest
Dear friends Would you all like to try the profession/ career of this chart?: May 7, 1961, 4/50 am, Bombay= 5/30 e of gmt, 72e50, 18n58. Caveat: This may be difficult to analyse for some, due to our own pre-conceived notions about things, & NOT the chart itself. Or because of our ignoring the HEIRARCHY of astrological factors properly. So do write-in your reasoning. I know the person professionally very well. Shall give the answer on Thursday, or whenever I receive say 6 attempts, whichever is earlier. Guest guest
dear nandan difficult puzzle!!! i would try. rasi chart 2nd lord is mars and is debiliated in the fifth house. 6th lord is sun and is with 4th cum 7th lord in the dhana sthana. so education is either related to diseases, law or financial management. lagna lord , 10th lord and hora lagna lord and also associated with ghatika lagna is jupiter. jupiter is the main planet to be seen here. jupiter is in capricorn and debiliated, he is in navamsa of mars and dasamsa of saturn. he is in nakshatra of moon. karma nakshatra is rohini and the star would fall in the third house from the lagna. thus his job is mental and may be connected to to hands. venus is the third cum 8th lord and is in hora lagna. so hand factor is coming into the picture again. the dasamsa chart has venus and mars in the 10th house of taurus. 5th lord is jupiter and is in 6th house with mercury and moon. my chocies are 1. doctor-related to medicine 2. Criminal lawyer 2.financial consultant(banks, etc) regards partha vedic astrology, Nandan Chakraborty <nanadhan> wrote: > Dear friends > > Would you all like to try the profession/ career of this chart?: > May 7, 1961, 4/50 am, Bombay= 5/30 e of gmt, 72e50, 18n58. > > Caveat: This may be difficult to analyse for some, due to our own > pre-conceived notions about things, & NOT the chart itself. Guest guest
Dear Nandan, The strongest planets in his horoscope are Exalted Venus. Saturn in 11th. Strong venus & Exalted Sun makes him Charismatic and commanding. Venus , Ketu , Mercury in 10th in Navamsa in Sg. This shows his skills with Knife. This is aspected by Jupiter & Mars. Having argala of Saturn. This points to a surgeon. Rajabanga of Sun is a big trouble maker for him. AL & A7 conjoned , Exalted malefic Venus in Lagna . All this points to trouble due to affairs with women. His D-10 has Rajayoga due to Venus/Mars in 10th with Neecha banga ketu. strong 6th house points to service. Conjunction of Saturn / Moon in 11th will give Gyana yoga. Exalted Sun with Mercury in 2nd will make him tactical in speech. He will attract others by his speech. Debilitation of Jupiter is a strong negative factor. Debilitation of 9th Lord Mars is not good too. Guest guest
om gurave namah --------------- Dear Nandan, The Lagna I am getting is around 28D Pisces. My guess is the native's profession is connected to Politics (Revolutionary) and/or Entertainment! Some kind of Business is also possible. D1 -- Only Venus aspects the 11H from AL. This could show income through Entertainment or Business. 11H is Capricorn and has Gajakesari Yoga with Deb Jupiter who is 10L and Sat a functional Malefic. It also houses Ghati Lagna with 34 Bindus!!! The strong argala from exalted Sun also points towards Politics!!! Further AL has 35 bindus and aspected by the relevant planets. D9 -- AL has exalted Moon with 31 bindus signifying popularity with Masses!!! Sun also aspects this AL from Libra with 34 bindus!! D10 --- AL & GL(with slight reduction in birth-time) in Scorpio with Sun/Sat/Rahu shows involvement in Politics. Presence of Rahu in Scorpio may add a revolutionary/extremist tinge to the picture. Guest guest
dear nandan_da, let me try this. the person seems to have a multiple source of income. 1. 7L Mer in 2nd with exaulted Sun. This houses A5 also with lord Mars debilated in 5H and A2. Seems to have some trading business connected with some govt. institution. 2. 10L Jup, indicating teaching. Jup in debilated in 11th upachaya house - though in gajakeshari yoga, but very weak. in D10 also Jup and Moon in 6th-indicating service. 3. 3L & 8L exaulted venus in lagna is having aspect on 10H. This also must be indicating some proffession connected to media or art. in D10 also Ve is swavarga with 4L mars. this might be some sort of family business. But none of the proffession seems to be generating good income. regards, jk dasgupta - Nandan Chakraborty vedic astrology Monday, March 18, 2002 5:23 PM [vedic astrology] Profession- another puzzle Dear friendsWould you all like to try the profession/ career of this chart?: May 7, 1961, 4/50 am, Bombay= 5/30 e of gmt, 72e50, 18n58.Caveat: This may be difficult to analyse for some, due to our ownpre-conceived notions about things, & NOT the chart itself. Guest guest
Dear Sanjayji, Thanks for your comments. This native has Venus / Mars / Ketu in 10th house in D- 10. The Venusain influence in Rasi as Lord of 3ed/8th house , being exalted in Lagna is high. It is also present in 10th house in D-9 again as 3/8th Lord . This makes me think that he is more fit for a surgeon who would also utilize the engineering skills given by Mars in 10th house D-10 to do his operations. Guest guest
om gurave namah ------------------------ Dear Sriram, You don't need the Rasi chart. When Mars, venus and Ketu conjoin, then Ketu shall be the strongest and the Rajas (passion) of the other two shall be destroyed by Ketu. ketu normally gives a very routine kind of profession. Being headless, the job will not require much mental activity unless it is of a social welfare kind. Venus gives work in private sector. Surgeon cannot be as Mercury is not involved. You have to cut the skin to get to any organ of the body. Mars will still try to help him, like maybe good at typing etc. but then Ketu will surely defeat the others out there and dominate. I have success in my engineering job and good results. I don't understand the problems of conjunction Ma and Sy for job. I understand conjunction for physical body problems, because Ma is lord for Lagna, but can't find answer for the job and Karma problems. Please give me hit, where could I find information about it? Guest guest
Dear Sri Sanjay Rath-ji, Does Ketu (headless) having anything to do with 10th house in D-10 give a menial job? Also, your article on Dasamsa gives the impression that such a person (with influence of Ketu on 10) would be religious or philosophy oriented (Is this why you have added the clause 'unless involved in some social welfare'?). More puzzling is that despite mars having nothing to do with 10th in D-10 for me, my job is quite technical, being in software. Unlike many in software who acknowledge their work to be 'headless typing', mine so far has been a technical one, as acknowledged by my seniors too. I am not sure where the technicality is coming in (or is this a temporary feature?). I am religiously minded, but profession is not that. (Attached is the JHD). Given the puzzles on profession (Nandan, your puzzle was too good!), it will be nice if an article on reading of D-10 be posted, like Dasgupta-ji suggested Partha to do. Guest guest
om gurave namah ------------------------ Dear Nomadeva, In a recent class, I explained about the heads of Ketu, i think there is a lesson also on this in Varahamihira. In your case, Ketu has got an elephant head and that makes him akin to Ganapati maharaj. So, your work will be like that of Ganapati maharaj.
