Guest guest
Dear Visti & Gurus Until I joined SJVC & Varahamihira, I actually believed the same thing, & for the same REASON, as Ernst has pointed out. The only reason provided in SJVC for Ve' astroLOGICAL combustion to be when conjunct & RETRO, unlike Mc, is that Ve's revolution around the Sn is in an opposite direction to that of all the other planets. Somehow, while I have accepted the SJVC guideline on faith, for astroLOGICAL reasons. astroNOMICALLY, I still dont understand why the difference in direction of revolution whould make a difference, ref Ernst's rationale (which rationale IS what is given in many modern texts) Nandan --- Ernst Wilhelm <ernst wrote: > "IFor the record, we in SJVC believe that Ve is combust only when > conj Sun & Retro." > > In respect to those you believe that Venus is combust only when > retrograde: > > First lets look at the planets outside the Earth's orbit, Mars, > Jupiter and Saturn.
