Dear Srinagesh,

Here are my comments on Chatrapati Shivajis chart.

 

Atma of a king should be very strong:

Exalted and Vargottama AK, Venus. - Malavya yoga mahapurusha.

I would also expect the Sun to be Strong . But it is not .

 

Mana:

Moon in 5 in Rasi , On Navamsa Lagna with Guru. Rasi depositor of

Moon - Mars . Nakshatra Depositor of moon , Venus!

 

Deha:

Guru, lagna lord is combust . This is not a good sign. But Lagna has

Astavarga bindu of 40 (highest in his chart ). This will give me good

physical strength.

 

Navamsa:

Guru/Moon on Navamsa Lagna . Makes him very learned and Ruler! -

Jamini.

 

Exalted Ak in 5th from Navamsa Lagna. Native obeys dharma and is

straightforward. Very essential for a king!

 

Dharma lord Moon in Navamsa , placed in Lagna. Navamsa lord Mars well

placed too.

 

He is very courageous:

3rd lord Saturn - exalted, 3rd lord Rahu - exalted . This is very

good.

 

enemies - exalted Rahu in 6th , Lord of A6 Saturn exalted.

 

Gains from enemies - Lord of A6 exalted in 11th from Lagna. Exalted

Ak , Venus, exalted in 3rd from A6 , enemies defeated!

 

Gains from Spouse / enemies also indicated due to placement of UL/A6

from Lagna.

 

Exalted Venus in 4 - Beautiful Vehicles. D16 - 4th Lord Venus , again

exalted.

Exalted Moon in 4th in D16 - excellent - Many lands.

 

However Mercury/Jup/Sun not quite strong. Dhi-Shakthi not very good .

He might have had excellent ministers to help him . Shown by Venus

Lord of 6.

 

Also note the Grahamalika yoga from 3 to 7.

Good reasoning ,However Mercury/Jup/Sun not quite strong. Dhi-Shakthi not very

Shivaji's mother was known as Jijabai. The name of his general was Tanaji

Malusare. His family deity was Bhavani (a form of Durga or Shakti) and the

temple is located in Tuljapur, Maharashtra. I have also seen a Leo lagna

horoscope for Shivaji. What is the source of the Sagittarius lagna chart?
