MU: Thanks so much for the kind words and thoughts; I

am honored.

R: Particularly in relation to Anais Nin. I have read

MU: Yes, Light on Life is a very good text on the

matter of VA. I have re-read that book many, many

times.

MU:I am sitting here reading your email on a

Wednesday, which is the day ruled by Mercury; Mercury

rules the sign Virgo...hmmm...it could be, that your

Asc is Virgo. Rectification is a tricky matter, but

not impossible. Perhaps, if you are so inclined, you

could let me have a crack at it, to see what I come up

with. If you are interested, please respond privately,

unless you don't mind everyone on the list seeing your

data.

AS for the Navamsa, yes, it is a powerful chart, and

should always be consulted. I use the Navamsa in the

manner done by the South Indian Jyotishis, that is, I

apply pretty much the same yogas and the like to it as

I would with the Rasi. I also make use of some Jaimini

techniques, and have found much success with these

methods. Irrespective of waht time you were born, the

Mercury and Jupiter positions (by sign) would be the

same, therefore giving your chart more strength

overall. In fact, the Navamsa can actually make or

break a chart, due to its strength or weakness,

regardless of what the Rasi looks like. I have seen

this principle in action many times.

I have a pretty strong Navamsa - Jupiter and Saturn

are in their own signs. In addition, Saturn forms

Shahsa Yoga, while Jupiter in the 6th ensures eventual

success over competitors. Mars forms a Neecha Bhanga

Raj Yoga in the 10th, and Rahu also forms a Raj Yoga

due to its placement in the 1st w/Moon, ruler of the

10th. Mercury, ruler of the 9th, is Vargottoma, and

Venus, ruler of the 8th and 3rd, is also Vargottoma,

placed in the 3rd, giving rise to Bhavat Bhavam

(enhancing my "thing" for Astrology). So such things

are important.

MU: It has been said, that one that comes accross and

shows a good bit of facility with, Jyotish, has

existed as such at least 3 times in past lives. I'm

not so sure about this, but I have to admit, it is an

intriguing thought. I too took to VA very quickly, had

very little, if any, of the common difficulties with

it that so many Westerners have with VA. Within a

Summer, I had learnt all the basics and was on the GJ

list discussing the charts of Clinton and Monica. Go

figure. ;)

MU: Ok. Please keep in mind my offer; perhaps, we can

shed a bit of light on your birth "mystery".

Salaam,

Mu
