Guest guest
I was trying to manually calculate my natal sahams, & some did not tally with those in JHL (both versions). Then, I remembered that a few are defined differently in VAIP vs some other standard refs, & 1 in particular is wrong (Vyapar) in VAIP. Could you please correct the Vyapar in both versions of JHL, & provide options for the 5 other definitions. Alternatively, just confirm, that you have rechecked, & are sure that these VAIP definitions (as also in JHL) are indeed what we are supposed to follow (atleast as SJVC students). I say this, because when I pointed these out to you last year, you had then mentioned, that you were simply using some definitions from some texts, not from Neelkantha itself, & were not absolutely sure. I am providing a summary of the differences for your convenience: Name Chugh & Iyer: For Day Birth/ VshPvesh VAIP: For Day Birth/ VshPvesh For Night: all agree to this Vyapar Ma-Mc+Lg Ma-St+Lg (same as Shatru??) Same Mitra Vidya-Punya+Ve Jp-Punya+Ve Reversal Mrityu 8-Mn+St 8-Mn+Lg Same Putra Chugh: Jp-Mc+Lg Jp-Mn+Lg (Iyer also agrees to this) Reversal Asha Iyer: St- Ve + Lg St-Ma+Lg (Chugh also agrees to this) Reversal Roga Chugh: Lg-Mn+Lg + 30*. Iyer: Lg-Mn (ie drop the last bit) Lg-Mn+Lg Same Another help please: I could have done these 5 manually for myself, but I keep getting confused on where to add 30*. If the formula for my NIGHT birth is B-A+C, then we must add 30* when C is zodiacally between A & B, or is it for C being zodiacally b/w B & A. Say, A is in Pi & B is in Sg. And C in Vi. So B-A is a negative figure, say 62*. Say C is 0*Vi. So I just simply subtract this (B-A= 62*) from 0*Vi, which gives me 2* two signs behind= 2* Cn. Now to this resultant figure, when do we add 30*?: Vi is between Pi & Sg zodiacally (ie between A & B), but not zodiacally b/w Sg & Pi (ie b/w B & A).
