Dear Partha,

My My are we getting very demanding here.

Visti has explained to you to take solar years which is 365.24

years. If you need more information then you will have to do some

research and come up with concrete birth data and explanations of

326.24 v/s 360 degrees. "People" no; its a Person who have written

this software most definitely must know and that is why it has been

put in.

Similarly in Vimsottari dasa too in JHL, 3 options are given, 360,

365.24 and you can specify 'n' days. Each and every one has to do

their research and in that way all will learn. The gurus suggest

that they favour to use this one v/s that based on their experience.

Since you are well adept in Vimsottari dasa, why are there other

options like 360 and 365 days and going as far as to give any number

you like for days ?

Cheers !!!

Ash

Vyam Vysadevaya Namah

Dear Partha,

I don't think that I nor any of the Gurus have any doubts about using

Solar Years for Narayana Dasa. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear in the

mail. The option is given for the versatility of the program.. This

can also work as a subtle form of compression.

Best wishes, Visti.

Dear Partha,

Looking at the Narayana dasa output quoted by you, it looks like the

software you are talking about is the limited release of JHLite 4.1

that was released for SJVC students only. I am the "people who

developed it".

I simply gave options wherever possible, so that astrologers can

experiment. To the best of my knowledge, no SJVC guru or student uses

anything other than solar years in Narayana dasa. The true solar year

(where time is measured in terms of Sun's degrees) will also be

available in the full release of JH, but JHLite will not have it. The

closest to it is the 365.2425 day year.

AS far as Vimsottari dasa is concerned, there also Sanjay ji prefers

solar years. Some people prefer 360 day Savana years and some people

prefer 360 tithi years. But I am not aware of any such difference of

opinion for Narayana dasa. The option in the software is given just

for experimentation.

Dear Narasimha,

I downloaded the JH Lite just a week ago from your home page/SJVC home

page (I don't remember which one). Upon reading your mail, I checked the

software and it appears to be verion 3.0. I would be obliged if you could

kindly give me the link for the latest version.
