Rahu in conjunction with any planet will take on the energy and nature of that planet, magnify it and will give the results of that planet in its major- or subdashas, rather than the planet itself. Thus, when Jupiter is a malefic planet for the ascendant, Rahu will give its malefic influence in a magnified way, hence when the planet is a benefic for the chart, it will give positive results. Rahu in conjunction with an angular and triangular lord can even create a Raja Yoga and give very benefic results. See it like this: Rahu is the greatest malefic, being demonic, he steals the wealth of the planet he conjoins with, increases it and gives the results in a magnified way. Guest guest
What about when Rahu is with Sun, in capricorn ? >From the little that I read, Sun diminishes the power of any planet that's with it in a given house, right? [Opposite for the planets that are with Moon] Ranga. P.S: I have Sun and Rahu in Capricorn [Asdt], and running Rahu Mahadasa. - Visti Larsen vedic astrology Monday, January 21, 2002 1:28 PM Re: [vedic astrology] 1. Guru Chandala & 2. Guest guest
Hello, Wonderful ideas; thanks for sharing. Based on personal experience and attestment of so many others, we can conclude that the ideas presented shlould be considered for experimenting further.... I have also felt some effects of retro Me as you have described them. But to be honest I had not yet established a pattern of it. I will be careful to observe the same from now on... (Ofcourse, Me which is deb., retro., and 5th lord in my case will give special effects...) Once again, thanks for bringing these observations to our attention.
