Guest guest
OM Krishna Guru! Namaste Guruji's, Whenever we do Archana, we always specify the Gotra, Nakshatra, rasi and Name of the person. The name that is to be specified - should it be the given birth name or the passport name or changed names etc. Also I have another question - there could be so many with same name,Nakshatra rasi and gotra. How does the "pariharams or pujas" done for someone with the above information uniquely identify the individual. I would apprecite if somebody can throw some light into this. Thanks! Guest guest
When performing archana In a temple ,Pujari says chants mantra and asks for Your name personally before the Lord ,Father's name & Mothers Name & Siblings Names.....Gotram next >>>Vashista ,shakti parasharasa example mine.......& not nakskatra or Rasi ....they do not come in to picture & pujari says >>> Sakutumbhasya ,Kshema, Dairya ,aur arogya etc....There do not arise Identifying any other person at all .....Because you are standing before the Lord & pujari is asking your name directly, So pujari is asking about your parents &you & your siblings & gothram which are completely unique. name also includes surname do not forget that ..... Guest guest
Shree gurubhyo namah Hari Om Dear Murali, According to my understanding for such ceremonies, rituals, the name which was assigned to a person during the "nama karanam" should be used. Please correct me if im mistaken. Guest guest
dear murali The name used is the Janma Nama, a name based on the letter assignedd to each Nakshatra/ pada. This practrive of name the person with a name starting with a particular letter, helped the astroloers to immediately know the Nakshatra under which the person was born. For example a persson whose birth name is PU RUSHOTTAM will be one born Under Hasta Star 2nd Pada. While offerring archan, Pooja etc., the name used used is usually the birth name. In reality this does not matter, as the offerring of Archana or Poojas is based on FAITH. You are offering to a GODHEAD. He has the capacity to know who is offerring. --- rastapoppolous <rastapoppolous wrote: > Shree gurubhyo namah > Hari Om > Dear Murali, > According to my understanding for such ceremonies, rituals, the > name which was assigned to a person during the "nama karanam" should > be used.
