Guest guest
Namaste Partha, sorry for butting in. >thoughts are matter waves and they are emanating from our brain as we > think about some events?, some people??, some real and some unreal??. According to the veda, thoughts are not really emanating from the brain. Rather they emanate from the atma and use the brain to interact with the body. The brain is the interface between the atma and the body. So thoughts are not matter waves. They cause matter waves. The soul does not need the brain for being able to think as it can also think when unembodied. However, it uses the brain as long as it is embodied. >reality and unreality are seriously the concepts that can never bedefined. If that would be true, then the Vedas and upanishads have been revealed in vain, for that is their very purpose: Distinguishing between sat and asat - reality and unreality. > can u say why there can be an earthquake in a place where geologically there is no chance of an earthquake. there is no history > of earthquake in that particular area, but all of a sudden the earth starts trembling on a fateful day. why??. Certainly, because it is the destiny of the place and the people living there. As astrologers, we believe in destiny caused by our karmas, arent we? > i hope i am not agnostic, but do i know where is my destination, after this life??!! Depends on your actions and thoughts in this life. According to the gita, you will go to higher realms if you die in sattva (urdhvam gacchanti sattva stho), you will remain on earth and take birth as a human, if you live a life of rajo guna (madhye tishtanti rajasah), and you will go down and take birth amongst animal, plant or hellish species if you live a tamasic life. if i know can i say that i am living a wasteful life conjuring up silly images in this world, doing silly thing by posting these questions to "others" when all i need to do is to meditate and think about it myself??. Asking questions is a symptom of intelligence. It means that the person is searching for the truth. By thinking and meditating on your own, you can realize some truths but for others you will definitely require the help of a guru. There are quite a few statements spread out througout the vedas and puranas to this effect: 'That you can only understand the truth from someone who has seen it himself himself (upadikshyanti te jnanam jnaninas tattva darshinah) As a devout reader of Ramayana, you probably know all these things yourself, but since you asked the questions I threw in my two cents Regards, Arno

The former is my 'naxatra' name, fit for an astrological list. > reality and unreality are seriously the concepts > that can never be > defined. Dear Partha-ji, I think that is a bit drastic statement to make that reality and unreality can never be defined. At the maximum, you can say that any definition cannot satisfy each and every soul, but then, what does? > please elaborate on the following that u had said That unfortunately is not possible by me. Since these quotes are from the Brahmasutras, I suggest that you take up a bhAShya to study them. Believe me, the ancient philosophers, who built systems of philosophers have more consistency than any of our answers to such questions can get you. (Oh, if you are really determined to understand what these sUtras mean, your study cannot start with them straight up. Have you heard of a book called 'Tarka sangraha'?) > >>Talking of this world, the BS say, na > svapnAdivat.h > > (this world is unlike a dream. why?) > vaidharmyAchcha; > > ((((((((((on the account of it being of different > character.)))))) > > Regards, Nomadeva Send FREE video emails in Mail! http://promo./videomail/
