Please clarify the following for me: 1.Kodanda rahu Where di dyou get this expression from? I have never met the two together. If analysed separately, then Rahu we know, is the Moon's node, and for Kodanda I have met two meanings so far. One is the bow of Lord Rama, and the other is an Upagraha rising at the portion lorded by Venus, although some astrologers don't attribute any Upagrahas to the portion lorded by Venus. 2.principle of papakartari ( not the yoga ) Kartari yoga is formed by an equal number of planets in the signs either side if a house. If the planets are malefic, it goes as Papakartari yoga, if benefic, the Subhakartari yoga. The principle of this yoga is that the planets in either side of the sign can't cast any aspects on the sign, however the sign 2nd from it will give an argala while the 12th will obstruct it. If the argala and the obstruction are of equal strength, then bandhana (bondage) occurs, which is of malefic nature (prison, torture etc.) if caused by malefics or of benefic nature (protective guards etc.) if caused by benefics. So in any case, it will force the native to do or bear certain things, which are either good or bad for him. I hope this helps. The results of Rahu dasa for such natives is expected to be very good and I have witnessed this in a few horoscopes. This is gives quite a prominence in Karnataka. This is one of the reasons I consider Sc as debilitation point for Rahu and not Sg. Because Rahu is a malefic, its debilitation may bring good fortune, especially if in Kendra.
