Guest guest
Namaste Sarajit, Thanks for the clarifications. Regards Shailesh Chandra Chadhascchadha (AT) hotmail (DOT) com - Sarajit Poddar vedic astrology Monday, January 07, 2002 10:30 AM Re: [vedic astrology] Rahu/Sun Hare Rama Krsna Dear shailesh! Sun in the kendra from Saturn will nullify the negetive effect of Saturn on the Lagna, being the karaka for Lagna and also because it is unafflicted and hence very bright. Sun is never malefic for health and vitality (don't go by literal translation). Try to find out the karakatwa of each planets and then will you understand why a planet is good or bad for a particular affair. In muy knowledge, Sun is never malefic for a native's health and vitality, even when it becomes a functional malefic as it is the life giving force. Only when Sun is afflicted with Rahu, its rays are overshadowed and it fails to work... Sun is considered Krura in vedic astrology, which means fierce and can't be literally translated as Malefic. Ponder over it.... Moon is not malefic being less in paksha bala. It only becomes weak. But the coolness of Moon's light would never get vitiated, if it weak in paksha bala. Even here, only when it get eclipsed, does it create problem.. For you Moon in the kendra is good for health and general happiness. Regards Sarajit - Shailesh vedic astrology Friday, January 04, 2002 3:54 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Rahu/Sun Dear Sarajit, Another round of queries - my chart again. Take kendras - Lagna - SA, though Yogakaraka, is a malefic; 4H SU - again a malefic; 7H MO - a mild malefic ( dob shukla shasti); 10H is unoccupied, londed by MO - mild mal. again Trines: 5H has MEr, mild benefic but 9H has KETU - a mal. So the balance is malefics - this is what confuses me. Regards Shailesh Chandra Chadhascchadha (AT) hotmail (DOT) com - Sarajit Poddar vedic astrology Friday, January 04, 2002 2:59 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Rahu/Sun Hare Rama Krsna Dear Shailesh! Never meant to dissuade you from asking further questions or never did I suspect your intention behind putting questions. I just wanted to clarify that many things I might not write due to paucity of time, which help me reaching the final conclusion. No ego issues. Even I am a learner as you are. There is no question of seniority, infact we all are kids just learning the ABCD. As you mentioned, I am not a guru in SJVC. Whatever I say is out of my understanding of the subject and be quite misleading. So no ill feelings meant.... In your horoscope. Even though Saturn occupied your lagna the kendras are occupied by Sun, Venus and Moon and trines by Mercury and Ketu.... What kind of ill effect can you expect from this. Only because Venus is debilitated in the Navamsa, we can't say that it will give health problem, debilitation is a situation rather than a condition of the planet. Venus is your atmakaraka besides being the lagna lord and is placed with the lagna karaka Sun, what else do you expect for good health. If the lord of the house associated with the karaka of the house, the indication of the house is enhanced. Thus ensuring good health. But stay watchful during the dasa of Venus. When a house lord becomes the charakaraka of the signification of the said house, the dasa can be painful... The benefics in the kendra are the major saving grace for any horoscope, more so when they become the friend of the lagna lord or the lagna karaka. Sun by itself in the 4th house can be good for the lagna, however in Bindu's case, how much can a afflicted Sun do? Regards Sarajit - Shailesh vedic astrology Friday, January 04, 2002 2:20 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Rahu/Sun Namaste Sarajit, Please... I suspect I have been misunderstood. Neither I am questioning your wisdom - nor Sanjay ji's. As a very junior student of this science, I want to understand the principles and caveats clearly. If you see my chart, in my case too SU is in 4H - CAP, & with VEN which is debilitated in D9. So, I want to understand that, since this combination has not created major health problem for me, what are those factors in my chart. You are a very senior & respected Guru in the SJVC group - I want to benefit from your experience and knowledge. I hope my this mail clears some misunderstanding. Looking forward to your reply, Best regards, Shailesh Chandra Chadhascchadha (AT) hotmail (DOT) com - Sarajit Poddar vedic astrology Friday, January 04, 2002 2:02 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Rahu/Sun Hare Rama Krsna Dear Shailesh! As Saturn is exalted for the Libra Lagna, the health problems, although there will not be pronounced. However in the present case I based my concludion on the fact that the Karaka for Lagna, Sun is afflicted whereas its enemy is sitting with full strength in Lagna. I am sure, this has given some kind of problem in the lower part of spine. Moreover the presence of malefics in the kendra has increased the maleficence of Saturn. I had not explicitely stated all these things in my previous mail, however, this was my thinking when I was writing that. All planets can give negetive results otherwise all people in this earth were advised to wear Topaz or Ruby... This is not the case. What happens when Jupiter becomes the rogesha or badhaka or afflicted by Rahu??? will you still were topz, provided there is no other mitigating factors? Because you have taken Sanjayji's name, I would like him to clarify. Regards Sarajit - Shailesh vedic astrology Friday, January 04, 2002 1:21 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Rahu/Sun Dear Sarajit, Namaste, Can I ask you some connected questions? My interest stems from the fact that I have a similar chart (attached) & a family full of LI lagna with SAT there (myself, wife, a son & my late father). You have mentioned: Saturn's presence in the lagna will give you major health problem as this is inimical to sun, the protector of health, however Jupiter's aspect is the saving grace. I have not personally encountered, or observed in my family members, any major health problem - it is generally good health & robust bodies - touch wood. Any thoughts on that? Further: However I wouldn't suggest you wearing Topaz as Jupiter is the 3rd and 6th lord, hence a functional malefic for your lagna and also doesn't go well with your lagna lord venus. I second that from personal experience - I was wearing Yellow Saphire (Kanaka Pushparag or Pukhraj) for some time & I feel I experienced some very negative results because of that. [However, Sanjayji holds that Jupiter cannot give negative results]. OTOH, blue saphire has suited me. Of course, I am undergoing third part of sade-sati & last leg os SAT vim-dasa(from lagna). I would like to know your thoughts on that. The other two kendras are occupied by malefics, generating some king of sarpa yoga, which causes lots of problem in yourlife. Jupiter aspect breaks the yoga and hence Guru will have tremendousimportance in your life to take you out from all sorts of problems you willbe facing.Saturn's presence in the lagna will give you major health problem as this isinimical to sun, the protector of health, however Jupiter's aspect is thesaving grace. However I wouldn't suggest you wearing Topaz as Jupiter is the3rd and 6th lord, hence a functional malefic for your lagna and alsodoesn't go well with your lagna lord venus. Try to acitvate the influence ofJupiter on the Lagna with the Mrityunjaya Mantra"OM Tryambakkam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pusti Vardhanam""Uravarukameeva Bandhanaam Mrityor Mokshiya Mamritat"One good thing I see in your horoscope is that Lagna lord Venus is with the2nd and 7th lord Mars and aspecting the 11th from your Arudha Lagna, showinggains. Wearning a coral can give you gains.Your Arudha lagna conjoins Moon and is aspected by Jupiter besides themalefics Rahu+Sun+Mercury... so you will have good image in public excludingsome minor setbacks mostly because of the aspect of Rahu. As Sun is also abadhaka for your horoscope, the presence of Rahu also with it in the 4thhouse from your lagna shows the problems in the home!!!If you have vedic remedies please get the mantra for Sun in Capricorn andchant it. The maleficence of Rahu will be minimised to some extent.Yogakaraka Saturn, exalted in the Lagna, you might have seen many successes, however do Mrityunjaya Mantra for minimising the evil of Sarpa Yoga.RegardsSarajitArchives: vedic astrologyGroup info: vedic astrology/info.htmlTo UNSUBSCRIBE: Blank mail to vedic astrology-....... Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Dear Chandru! Based on the question itself, I would say "No". However one need to look for other indications before giving judgements. Guest guest
Namasthe, Aren't we missing the fact that Venus is exalted here in this horoscope. Which means that lagna lord himself is exalted and in the 12th house. Also I remember reading that an afflicted 12th house occupied by Venus makes the person sterile. I don't know if I have understood it properly or added to the confusion.
