Namaste list members,

I am right now trying to translate correctly BPHS's chapter on systems of

dasa and have some problems concerning Kala Dasa.

There are two main points on which I would like your opinion.

- In Sharma's translation, the night period is called Mugdha and the day

period is called Poorna, whereas in the Parashara Light software

translation, it is the reverse! So what are the right designations for these

periods?

- In Sharma's translation, the text in itself doesn't emphasize at all on

how is determined the first mahadasa lord, and in his notes, he states that

"it may also be understood that if the birth is in Sunday, the first dasa

will be that of the Sun". What is your opinion on that subject?

Best regards.

Lucas.
