Venus is posited in the nakshatra of Sun, the latter being in 5th in your Rasi. It is in parivartana with Mars in 2nd house. His Arudha Lagna is in 11th house, which is ruled by Venus. When Arudha Lagna falls in the 11th house, as also was the case in George Harrisons chart, the person allthough gets prominence and fortune, will also get problems with the same, and dislike such things. I also have the Arudha Lagna in the 11th in Cancer with the lord Moon in the 5th. And I can totally relate to your observation. For someone born in a tiny village in India I have done fairly well (nothing by George's standard!) yet my spiritual hunger is far greater than the material belongings! I shy away from any publicity! My 2 cents worth of contribution for 2000 before it is over! The Badhaka Sthana for Virgo is Pisces. Your Arudha Lagna isn't in Badhaka Sthana. Actually a person who shys away from fame and fortune, isn't the same as a person who gets problems from the same. The reasons for avoiding such blessings, maybe different. See the influence of Saturn on your Moon, or Lord of Moon sign. Perhaps Saturn's (as well as Rahu which acts similar to Saturn) presence in the 10th may be responsible for this avoidance of fame and fortune. I would study the horoscope in depth over time and let you know of its effects. Lot of struggle is indicated for the native. 1. Sun, Moon, Mars have good placement. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn have bad placement. Mercury which is a Karaka for intellect, communication is not well placed. 2. The 10th lord is Jupiter which is the Lagna lord, disposed in the 8th ( Dushsthana ). Education will definitely be hampered. 3. Mars & Ketu are placed in 10th. It is also aspected by Saturn. This indicates delays in success in occupation. Mars being strong ( also functional benefic ), profession related to it will be the best. Ideally, something with commerce background. It also aspects the 4th house which signifies property, vehicles etc. But such an occupation is not suggested as Mercury (lord of 4th) is very weak. If there is a family profession or business, it would be excellent to pursue the same. Hope this information helps.
