Visti, I was thinking when you wrote that about desire, is there a way to tell the difference in the chart between a person's own desire, over what others desire of the person is when it comes to preference? Like maybe the chart would show somehow, that they would be sad or something if they didn't get what they preffered? We see copper is used in Motors and other engineering gadgets. Kuja is like 'lightening' and he can 'kill' instantly! Some other related stuff : Kethu can be there for 'Infra Red' light. Unseen but still hot! (Red is for Mars). Rahu stands for 'Ultraviolet' rays. See violet is close to blue of sani! Mercury is in the middle of spectrum (say green in the middle). Budha is the 'control system' in engineering. Because this involves computation and action based on reason. Well Visti, I am not able to ascertain about your understanding about Electricity. Electric current flows because of potential difference. Potential difference is nothing but pressure difference. For instance, you are very adapt in Vedic astrology and where as I am quite crude. There is difference of knowledge between us. When you and I meet/engage in discussion(i.e., connection in electrical language)knowledge flows from you to me because of difference of level of knowledge. This flow of knowledge can be similer to electric current. Now I don't want to confuse about DC and AC currents. When flowing, the current attracts all the magneticfields in the metal, to flow in the directionconditioned by the electrical current. The flow of current not attract magnetic field but it generates or establishes magnetic field. Like when you write about Astrology it makes good impact on others. Now depending on the intensity of the current, thisdevelopes various levels of heat, ruled by Sun andMars. Now heat is only a result of this. Idealistically speaking, the heat produced is because of obstruction caused to flow of current. Say, while listening to you, if I am not 100% attentive, confusion creeps in me and there by I have to put extra effort and that may heat up my brain. Mercury is literate knowledge, i.e. the student who cannot think for him-/herself, and will never reach a conclussion Jupiter is the Student who has become a teacher, who has all the answers. Mars tries to find all the answers.. never a stone unturned. The Moon knows all thats important to live. And so on. If you look through the Varahamihira archives, you will find some great articles about the Karakas for knowledge. You should use the Siddhamsa in conjunction with these discussions, and decide all the type of knowledge that the person masters(just like in Navamsa). I have not given Rahu any predominance over Ketu in the selection of electricity, for specific reasons. Sun is the significator of body, so any malefic associated with it will cause damage to the body. But they will do so in different ways; Mars = heat/fire/impaling, Saturn = Cold/weakening, Ketu = Infection and so on. Before deciding whether electricity is malefic or benefic, maybe you should think more closely about the nature of electricity.. is it cool, soft, pleasing to touch? Moon is cool, and soft. Venus is pleasant and smoothe. Jupiter is like a big pillow. Mercury has a big smile for me. Before you decide on which graha rules electricity, make sure you have also considered all the other kinds of electricity!
