Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya Namaste friends, I want to look back at what I wrote about US war against terrorism and look ahead to guess what may be in store. So far, I have guessed some things reasonably well, but went wrong in some things. Each correct or incorrect prediction is a valuable lesson for a student of this great subject like me. LOOKING BACK: I clearly went wrong in my expectations that India would be involved in the hostilities. I also went wrong in my expectations of instability in Pakistan and danger to the regime there. Thank God I went wrong there. I wrote that there would be a negative development in Israel heating up the emotions in the middle of October. I advised that both the sides should keep their cool. Assassination of a ranking Israeli minister on Oct 17 (?) led to a temporary snapping of ties and things have been only getting worse since then. The action in Afghanistan started in October as I wrote. While many political commentators were afraid of a disastrous campaign, based on the history of British and Russian misadventures in Afghanistan, I wrote that US would be quite successful. I wrote that the main goal, which was to be defined as the war progressed, would be achieved quite quickly, within 3-6 weeks from the time the campaign reached its full intensity. I wrote that stars were favorable to USA after Oct 18. US ground troops landed from Oct 19 and the attack reached full intensity. With 4 weeks from then, Kabul fell and talks of an interim government started! Though the original purpose of the war was to capture Osama bin Laden, fall of Taliban became a goal as the war progressed. That was achieved quite fast. I wrote that Nov 3-Dec 6 would bring the fall of USA's enemy. Though the enemy is not yet completely out, the fall started then (despite media's assertive reports in the beginning of November that the war was going nowhere, which led to a few people enquiring if I still thought USA would make quick progress!). I wrote that the success would be more complete in May-June 2002 and that several nations might have significant changes in that timeframe. I also wrote that President Bush has to be particularly careful with his security in 2002. When FBI issued a warning about a possible terrorist attack in October, I wrote that there would not be a big attack in October. By God's grace, I was correct. I wrote that there might be an attack around Nov 13-18. By God's grace, I was incorrect. (Note: A reader sent me a mail saying that he could correlate the plane crash in Queens on Nov 12 with my prediction. Well, actually what I saw was a tragedy and a loss of lot of lives and not necessarily a terrorist attack, though I did use that word in my prediction. So, in a way, he is correct. Saturn conjoining pranasphuta closely gave a tragedy in his Trisphuta Vimsottari dasa.) LOOKING AHEAD: (1) As per Kshema Vimsottari dasa of Israel's annual Full Moon chart, dasa of 7th lord and badhaka Jupiter is running now. Antardasa of maraka Venus (2nd lord exalted in 7th) during the middle of December can lead to more tensions. (2) In USA's monthly Full Moon chart of Nov 30, 6th and 7th lords are in 8th (Scorpio) with Gulika and Mandi, in the 12th from AL. During Sc's monthly Narayana dasa around Dec 11, a setback cannot be ruled out. As I've been requesting you all along, I will request you to pray your favorite God to ensure that nothing happens then. (3) However, compared to the November 30's Full Moon chart of Washington DC, next month's chart causes more concern. The lagna, 7th, 8th and 10th lords in 2nd and 6 planets in 2nd-8th axis cause concern. As per Niryana Shoola dasa and Shoola dasa of the annual Full Moon chart too, there is an indication of a tragedy during Dec 29, 2001-Jan 29, 2002. Again, let us all pray together so that the ominous astrological indications will pass without a bad event. (4) The somewhat belligerant talk from some leaders and sections of media hinting at an extension of the war, possibly against some old foes like Iraq, is very very troublesome to me. The reason is not political, but astrological. I mean, look at the annual Full Moon chart of USA for 2002-03. Mars, Saturn and Rahu within a 11 degree arc afflict the 7th house, along with the 7th and 8th lords. It does not present a rosy picture and hints at clashes and trgedies. All the nations in the world have to exert caution, diplomacy and restraint in order to make sure that negative planetary energies during April-July 2002 do not bring a disaster for the world. Right now, there is exemplary unity among world nations regarding the campaign in Afghanistan. It will be a shame if US or some other party engages in oneupmanship and belligerance and one things leads to another, causing a great tragedy. Astrological indications show the circumstances and situations that we are placed under. The actions we take are completely within our free will. Though circumstances limit the options available for free will most of the times, still the free will can make a difference. That is why it is said that "astrology is a study of the natural tendencies". It is upto the collective freewill of world leaders to lead the world safely through the coming tumultous months. God bless America and God bless the world! May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha --------------------- Narasimha P.V.R.
