Error with Sudasa worksheet

Hello,

I was just experimenting with the Sudasa worksheet posted on the list.

Apparently, there seems to be some mistake with the calculations of

Antardashas. The Antardashas should flow in regular order whether they go

backwards or forwards i.e Ar/Ta/Ge or Pi/Aq/Cp; they should not follow the

rules to calculate the MDs.

I am posting a sample chart. While the calculation of MDs seem to be

correct, the ADs is clearly wrong. (See attached file: Su-Dasa2.xls)

The AD sequence should be:

Ta: 07/94 - 05/95

Ar: 05/95 - 03/96

Pi: 03/96 - 01/97

Aq: 01/97 - 11/97

Cp: 11/97 - 09/98

Sg: 09/98 - 07/99

Sc: 07/99 - 05/00

Li: 05/00 - 03/01

Vi: 03/01 - 01/02

Le: 01/02 - 11/02

Cn: 11/02 - 09/03

Ge: 09/03 - 07/04

Best Regards,

SA

Dear Sanjiv,

There is no error, it was on purpose.

This is based on the teachings of Sanjay Rath.

Best wishes, Visti.

So, is Sanjayji teaching something different than what is preferred (and

prescribed??) by Narasimha? If yes, will that mean Narasimha's software

may have such discrepancies??

Dear Sanjiv,

I believe what Sanjay has taught is a recommendation,

from his own experience with Su-dasa. Not exactly sure

about the source of this knowledge, but seems to work

quite well.

I believe Narasimha will give an option for different

Sub-Dasa's.

Rest is upto you.

Best wishes, Visti.

Thx. Visti; I was in the process of writing another lengthy mail which I

have discarded now. I had done some analysis based on the two ADs; my

feeling (from my very basic knowledge of analysing Rasi Dasas) is that I

can understand the events a lot more clearly following the ADs calculated

by your spreadsheet.

Let me just clarify my preference.

I have been using the dasa-like antardasas in Sudasa since last

April, when Sanjay told me about it. He told me that technically this

has no basis, as the only antardasa system taught by Jaimini is the

Narayana dasa one. But he said he got better results with it. I was

writing my book at that time and avoided antardasas in Sudasa, in

order to not teach wrong things. I did not go to the level of

antardasas in any Sudasa example in my book. Later I experimented

more and accepted Sanjay's teaching, though it does not seem to be

sanctioned by maharshis.

In Jagannatha Hora, I am giving a lot of options, but did not find it

necessary to give an option in Sudasa antardasas. What Sanjay taught

(i.e. dasa sign is treated as Sree lagna and antardasas are found

just like dasas) is clearly better.

I am sorry for any confusion I created by teaching half-baked

knowledge a couple of years ago.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha

Hi,

No need for apologies. When somebody credible suggests something and

another suggests something else, it is natural to ask for clarification. I

would personally like to continue to benefit from your knowledge, thoughts,

and revelations. Please do not withhold this treasure.

Thanks,
