But he did become famous. Moon and Ghati Lagna should be analysed for fame. Gaja Kesari Yoga involved with Ghati Lagna or kendra from Lagna, can ensure worldwide fame. Can is the mute point here. But for an astrologer, for instance, who has many raja yogas and other good yogas, he will become famous, but he will not have any real power to make decisions that effect many others like a ruler does. Lot of Yogas are associated with power. The power has to be rightfully used and that is the challenge for the person having the yogas. A person who is capable should develop helpful and benign heart. Otherwise, the yogas can't help. We read in scriptures that even angels fall due to their ego and lust. It is essential for people to reduce Tamas and progress towards goodness. Hitler had Ruchaka yoga. What happened is a trail of destruction. Summing up, Raja yogas alone are not going to help the native. The yogas which give fame are also called the Rajayogas. One might get the results of Rajayoga as Power/ Atuhority or Fame based on the expression of the rajayoga. For that matter I consider the Hamsa or Gajakeshari yoga also a rajayoga, which gave BV Raman lots of fame but no power in real terms. We can interpret the term Rajayoga as combinations (yoga) make one king (Raja) or give fame (associated with Raja). For that matter,only combinations of Kendra and Kona lords doesn't constitute the Raja yogas, there are many more combinations given in the standard texts. One would take it or not, even the pancha mahapurusha yoga are rajayogas such as Hamsa, Ruchaka, Bhadra etc. Raja can also be inferred as the ability to influence mass (like a leader) or make impressions in the mind of the mass. As you rightly pointed out only the mere presence of Rajayoga doesn't make the native power or fame or affluence, whatever. The Lagna (native's capacity), the Sun (energiser of the yoga) and the Moon (sustainer of the yoga) should be strong. Otherwise a yoga which shows a great king can also show a leader of beggers. Besides these three pillers, the planets involved in the yoga should also be strong by its presence in many vargas, either in the same sign as the rasi or in its own, exaltation sign in vargas. Some other indications like the placement of the rasi and the navamsa dispositors can also be checked for the strength of the yoga. As Balaji pointed out, the rajayoga, by itself rarely show whether the power will be used in good direction or not, this might produce persons like hitler and Gandhiji both. More often, the nature of results given by the rajayoga is decided by the primary indications of the horoscope, whether the person is cruel or altruistic or something else. If the kendras have a no. of malefics (strongly placed), this might give a lot of authority however, the nature of the person will be cruel and on the other hand if benefics influence the lagna or the kendras, the native will be good hearted.... There could be many other yogas involving the Arudha Lagna which show a lot of fame (good or bad), are also to be analysed. As what makes one great is the perception (Maya) of the people along with the native's own action (Satya). There are lot more in this topic and everything can't be mentioned in this short time. It is not that important what one call an yoga (rajayoga or something else), if one understands what kind of result it gives, power, fame or affluence.
