Dear Partha

There are various Pravrajya (not Raj) yogas in the charts of the

spiritually-achieved people u mentioned. These include yogs which actually

destroy the need to achieve material glory, etc (RYs), such as 4+ planets

in a kendra, etc which confuse such an otherwise good house (MY

interpretation). These yogas are of various forms, as per the focus/ intent

of the renunciation. A short summary of Pravrajya related yogas from my

notes, is provided below for junta's benefit (these are MY notes collated,

NOT the words of an astrologer, so check these out, dont use as gospel).

PS: Incidentally, my Internet was down most of yesterday, erratically. And

I sent a posting which I thot was sent, but cdnt see it in my in-box, so

composed it all over again & sent, & both reached eventually. Happens!

that is what even i am trying to say. these great

people are my idols and they do not have raja yogas.i

was hammering away the same point. you were the first

person to catch the point. it is not necessary to have

raja yogas to become famous. i have jupiter with ketu

in 5th house,-spiritualism, sun in 12th from lagna,

saturn in 12th from arudha lagna. thus i am more

spiritual than people think i am. i hate people who

show of a lot, who do not have basic knowledge but try

to pose of as knowledgable people. another point is i

am not hungry fro luck or anything. neither i am very

much worried about worldly success, having many

Hare Rama Krsna

Dear Partha!

You are mixing two different things. Having pravrajya yoga is one thing and

becoming famous another. There are many saints, perfect pravrajya, however

they are not famous. See the charts of famous saints, you will find strong

planets influencing the Lagna and the Arudha Lagna. Fame needs some kind of

Rajayoga. Rajayoga can give materialistic gains or fame depending on various

other factors and the way it expresses.

Just think if it make some sense.

dear sarajit

i do agree with your point. but i do not agree to the

point that Swamis need raja yogas to be famous.raja

yoga give power authority, fame etc but do are not

good enough to explain the greatness of some great

saints. you take up chart of jesus and sai baba and

tell me what is that 'raja yoga' that they have. if

you prove to me that great saints have become great

due to raja yogas i will agree to your point. becoming

famous does not need raja yogas i repeat.

Dear friends,

I think Raja yogas need not be the only entities for

becoming 'famous'. One thing may be, if the person has

Raja yoga, even if he is a saint, he will be

entertained by Kings! Lot of them may be like Pope,

Acharyas of rich mutts etc.

Jesus had simple devotees and I think Saibaba of

Shirdi also had simpletons as followers. If they had

Raja yogas, they might have been patronised by Kings

also.

In the absence of Raja yoga, Shirdi baba was perceived

as a 'fakir' only. Christ had said 'blessed are the

poor' and he himself was from a poor family.

So, to be popular, it is not essential to have Raja

yoga in my view.

warm regards,

Balaji S.

Aum Gurave Namah

Dear Balaji!

It depends on the way you perceive. Pravyajya yoga by themselves don't give

fame, they only show high spirituality. Then what give fame, if not raja

yogas. This is debatable whether or not the yogas which give fame can be

called as Rajayoga. Such as strong planets influncing the Lagna, Moon in the

lagna or 7th from the Arudha Lagna, some yogas like strong gajakeshari,

strong lagna (also Sun and Moon) with pancha mahapurusha yoga...etc etc.....

The rajayoga can give lots of oppulance, authority etc on one hand and on

the other it can give name, fame what not. Veepareeta rajayoga are said to

give lots of materialistic benefits, dharmakarmadhipati yoga give power and

authority whereas yogas like hamsa Yoga give name and fame as an

intellectual.

What I meant is that presence strong planets in the horoscope can show name

and fame in their periods and if they influence the lagna, the native will

be famous for many years. If you don't call them rajayoga, what yoga do you

call them? Fame-giving yoga?

Regards

Sarajit

dear sarajit and balaji

dear sarajit i do remember that sai baba had kalasarpa

dosha, he was born in thula lagna if i am not wrong.

his date of birth is not available with any body,

infact i saw his chart in one of the magazines on

astrology. he had malavya yoga. regarding jesus he was

born in virgo lagna. i do remember that mother

theresa, jesus and sai baba do not have raja

yogas.mother thersa had saturn in mesha rasi or lagna?

with venus in 4th. dear sarajit, balaji has agreed to

my point that it is not necessary to have raja yogas

to be famous. mars in 10th , sun and mercury in 1st

for dhanu lagna is raja yoga but is he a good person?

raja yoga is different from pancha mahapurusha yogas

and other yogas like parvata yoga, matsya yoga,

lakshmi yoga etc. raja yoga gives power nothing more

than that. fame is not caused due to raja yoga.

regards

partha

dear nandan

what is that different that i am trying to say. now

raj yoga doesn't imply-fame, pravrajya yoga doesn't

imply-spirituality. this is what i was trying to say.

Dear Sarajit,

In my view, Raja yoga gives mainly power and

authority.

Also, one will be honored even by Rajas.

THere are various lagnas we discuss and some are for

fame and some are for money. GL is for Fame and HL is

for money.

Lot of Raja yogas can give fame. I am not denying

that. I am saying, you don't NEED raja yoga to be

famous atleast in the spiritual life.

Take Gaja Kesari yoga. It is common and it is one for

leadership.

This is formed by GUru and Moon. Guru is the minister

and Chandra is a royal graha. Naturally the person

will have good traits of both these.

Take Hamsa Yoga. It shows Guru's strength alone. That

is why it promotes vedantins and great intellectuals.

Dharma Kharmathipathi means a person whose main karma

is upholding Dharma. He will earn wealth and he will

spend for good causes. It is not for just power and

authority.

To be spiritual these are good but not essential!

Take the Tapaswi yoga, do you think it is a Raja yoga?

Not in my view when Planets like Sani and Kethu are

involved.

Strong Raja yoga in a Tapaswi's chart indicates the

kind of people who will honor him and not their

numbers.

warm regards,

Balaji S.
