Dear Gurus & fellow-students

FOUND! Exactly where Alex J mentioned it wd be, ie in KCDasa Chapter of

Jatak Parijat:

St's MaranSthan is 1, not 8.

It says "janma gate mandow", & is translated in English by VSS as St in

natal STAR (not for others: mandi is often used for saturn all over various

classics).

All the other planets clearly have "griha" or "sthan" mentioned, except

Ra's which says 9th "rashi" (but which everybody says 9th house, so I'll go

with that) & there was some confusion about Ve (inimical sign vs 6), which

as it was cleared up by Mr Rath himself, as an improper translation, I

shall not bring it up here.

I dont know what "gata" means except step/ speed from my mother-tongue

Bengali. So let me not add to confusion about whether this means St being

in thhe lagna-nakshatra. Let us just stick to "St in Lagna", as it is

obviously NOT a printing mistake in Mr Rath's book, & he must have done

necessary due-diligence into the affair.

Shubho Bijoya (Bengali)= Best wishes on the Victory day (my best attempt at

translation), ref Durga Puja
