Guest guest
NatureNamaste! I have been trying to work on the Narayana Dasa Calculation Spreadsheet but I am not sure of the results of my determination of the strengths. Here is my data: September 27, 1947 9:40 am PST (+8) 121W16 37N53 Could someone tell me what I should insert in the strengths section of the spreadsheet? I find my own chart much more useful to learn from. By the way I only have use of this W98 machine for a week or so and I am trynig to get as many calculations done as possible <grin>. Guest guest
------------------- Dear Majid, For your chart; Ma/Ke = Ma, why? Ketu is in Scorpio hence Mars gets to rule it. Sa/Ra = Sa, why? Saturn is with more planets. Sa/Ke = Sa, why? Because Jupiter weakens Ketu. Start Rasi is Scorpio(8), as 7th has more planets than lagna. Best wishes, Visti. Guest guest
Aum Jaya Jagannatha, Namaste Majid, I am sure Visti's spreadsheet makes life easier, Narasimha's software will be released in a month or so....which will calculate Narayana Dasa upto 5 or 6 levels...but IMHO...the best way to get familiarized with Narayana Dasa ...is to calculate manually..till you get the hang of it. Just my 2 Cents. Guest guest
Namaste! Yes you are right about manual calculation I just wanted a basis for understanding and a correct example to work from. The other main question I now have is about Purnayus. It seems the length of Purnayus changes the DASA dates. So what are people using for Purnayus? I have seen many different years for this. Or is this a calculation you make yourself? Charak uses 100 years but does not seem to think it very important and Raman has two different ones as well. Guest guest
--------- PurnaAyus for Narayana Dasa is 144 years. Each sign contributes 12 years in total, i.e. 12x12 = 144 years. All other options are used for compression only. Best wishes, Visti. Majid <majid (AT) vcn (DOT) bc.ca> wrote: Namaste! Guest guest
Namaste! I hate to keep harping on this but to get an accurate result from the spreadsheet you would then enter 144 at the purnayus entry? Majid ---------------------------- Om Sri Ganapati Ki Jai! Guest guest
Namaste! I think I am getting the hang of it. I get Sag/Sco/Gem for my Dasa down to the 3rd level. I can really check it on my daughter's chart as I stop-watched her birth. But first I have to do a few non-computerized calcs to get it into my consciousness. Now this is Jaimini isn't it and all the usual Jaimini Aspects and Yogas apply? Majid Om Sri Ganapati Ki Jai!
Guest guest
----------------------- Depends on the pupose, but for normal phalita jyotish, yes. Best wishes, Visti.
