Rajayoga par exellence

Dear list members,

In Saravali (of kalyana Varma) chapter 25-7-8 'MARS in CANCER' for a Leo lagna

it reads: "The native will not possess any wealth. HOWEVER, if Saturn joins Mars

in Cancer, a Leo native will obtain a Rajayoga par excellence".

Cancer is the 12th for a Leo lagna. Mars is the yogakaraka, L4&9 and Saturn is

L6&7.

Does anyone have another reference which mentions the same and how should one

interpret that ?

In my mind such a Rajayoga can fructify during the Vimshotai dasa of Mars/Saturn

or Saturn/Mars . Am I correct in my assumption ?

Kind regards

Jay Weiss

Dear Jay,

I don't have another reference, but I do have a Western Astrologer

friend with this chart. He was born under his Mars Dasa, which

brought polio. Now in his Saturn Dasa, Ketu Bhukti, he got diabetes,

for Mars aspects his 3rd (libra) where Venus is placed. The end of

Ketu Bhukti almost killed him. There have been no raja yoga results

during either of these Dasas. His life achievements have been

curtailed by these illnesses, and I'm not even sure he will be able

to benefit from his Saturn Viparita due to his depleted health,

excepting his spiritual growth has accelerated.

I don't see then a raja yoga being created here, but certainly poor

health, which overides any yoga benefits - Raja or Viparita. I think

my point here is to see the fundamental influences of Mars & Saturn

in the 12th before considering yoga potential benefits.

Don't mean to be critical here, however.

Dear Doug,

Thanks for your response.

I am truly sorry for your friends destiny, however he does have some years to

the Saturn/Mars period.

Could you please (if allowed) mail me his birth data (eventually privately at

jayhw) ?

Kind regards

Jay Weiss
