What Parasara said is that the strength of a Raja Yoga is decided by the amsas occupied by the two planets in raja yoga. For example, a person with Raja Yoga giving planets in Gopuramsa will be a very powerful king and a person with two unafflicted planets both in Simhasanamsa and giving raja yoga will become an emperor. Parasara also taught the importance of the amsa occupied by the 9th lord. On a quick glance, I did not recognize any standard raja yoga in your chart. Just planets being in a good amsa isn't enough. Planets should be in a raja yoga, they should be unafflicted and they should be strong in divisional charts too. You rarely come across charts satisfying this fully. * * * In another post, all you said was: > dear nandan > so you are humourous. what do you think i was(angry, > depressed) . i have made up with visti and he is now > my great freind. so all your four pillars and so on > are really theoretical stuff(laughs). but you have > been kind to give me very good advice. hey man why > don't you satrt analyzing charts with my chart being > the first. > regards > partha sarathy I want to warn you and others like you to get their act together. I may soon have to take action otherwise. It's not funny or cute or nice to waste the time of 580 people with an essentially private *chat* that is not useful to others. People should realize that the world does not revolve around them. Whether you are angry or depressed or happy is irrelevant to people. They could care less. If this was a small group comprising 20 people, they could perhaps afford to care. But, in a group of about 600 people, we can't care about anything other than the main purpose of the list - astrology. Any mail that does not have much astrological content is totally unwelcome. There was a time when this list had interesting discussions and atleast one in ten posts had great value. Archives of past are filled with excellent information that is not found even in books or magazines. Archives of this list were an excellent resource for learning. But a few members who have no concern for the quality of the archives and no common courtesy for the hundreds of other members are reducing the list to a puerile chatroom. This is unacceptable. Also unacceptable is your (Partha's) habit of sending each mail twice, possibly with a slightly modified content (e.g. your above mail on amsas). Before you post anything, ask yourself: "This mail will reach 600 people immediately and be posted in an archive that may later be referred to by thousands of people. Is it really worthwhile to take the time of so many people? Can I serve my purpose by sending this mail to one or two individuals instead?" Thanks to everyone for their co-operation. There should be no further discussion of this on the list. I don't want to see mails to the list agreeing or disagreeing with me. Take any discussion offline. Guest guest
Would Saturn play a similar role? (It is 9th lord for Taurus Lagna) How should one consider RYs: using Karka and Rasi Drishti or using kendra, Trikona lords with the Graha Drishti? The amsas are provided below.
