Guest guest
Dear members of this list, In my translation of BPHS, I think I 'll just write that it is generally accepted that upapada is known as the pada of the 12th house. But, it is true (as wrote Gauranga Das on the 12th of october) that Parasara doesn't state if one have to switch between 12th or 2nd house in case of odd or even signs for determinating arudhas. Re-reading chapter 32 on upapada, one questionpopped out to me. How do you understand verse 23 of this chapter (beginning by "oh! Brahmin, similar effects should be understood from..."). In Sharma's version, I get a different translation than in the one that was forwarded on this list some time ago (1 Mars 2001). What are your thoughts on that? Thanks.
