1. St's MaranaKarakaSthan: in yr dream-reply e-mail, u mentioned this as

Lagna= 1, so does Mr Rath in his new book in Narayana dasa. But my notes

from Jatak Parijat & Visti's earlier posting on the same has St's

mrnkrksthan as 8. There was also a discussion by Visti about how St in 8 is

good for longevity but at such high cost, because it is its MKS.

 

2. Pachaki-Sambandhi: (sneaking this in): Ve's karaka & vedhak are supposed

to be Sun & Saturn respectively; however the new Narayan Dasa book by Mr

Rath gives it as the opposite, ie St & Sn respectively. I could not find it

in VAIP & dont know which classics give it, so I cant check whether there

have been any printing mistakes.

 

Oh well, .... any takers?....

 

Y'know, some day soon, I'm gonna stop taking notes, & start looking at

charts. The World - Beware!

Do think to yourself - would any of you be pleased to inflict me on this

gullible world, when i actually start reading charts - with such a

smattering of knowledge, which are supposed to be basics & definitional.

 

So, for the overall welfare of this world, please answer the above

If you recall the discussions regarding this, Alex and I were in doubt. I don't

have Jatak Parijata, so please give the relevant sloka, and we'll analyse it.2.

I have Sarvatha Chintamani which is the source of this:

"Pachak, Bodhak, Karka & Vedhak are; Moon, Mercury, Sun & Saturn respectively.

For Venus, Vedhak is enemical."

 

However if you analyse these combinations more carefully, one could be convinced

to agree with Sanjays list. I hope Sanjay will shed some light on this.

As per my little knowledge, Saturn's Maranakaraka Sthana is the Lagna.

 

Pachakadi Sambandha is given in Sarvatha Chintamani. I hope you would check

it yourself.
