Sri Arjun jI , Sri RR ji,

Recently I was bemused when one such Guruji started addressing hiself as WE.

And when I used to refer myself as "self"or "undersigned", and refere myself in third

person not to use" I ", I was made fun of. So I had to switch over to I reluctantly.

Actually this was keeping in line with what a learned Lady Guru used to refer herself as third person to avoid getting ego-drunk.

  Dear Arjunji,

You *are* a <brother of the sword> as the quaint expression goes, in

addition to many on this forum, meaning simply one who is marching

beside one, in the same army, towards the same goal, and one that can

be relied upon when push comes to shove against the enemies of

darkness (as poets state) should they prevail or seemingly so, anyway!

In that vein alone I say this:

When the playing field is so rugged as I am sure ALL serious

astrologers have experienced in our hearts and daily experience, of a

few or many years some are so bold as to say lifetimes (!), an

experienced reality where surprises lurk and failures are just

another reason to not sit down and simply keep going on, because we

are convinced of our victory march and ultimate victory (or why else

we suffer so on a daily basis, even those of us who really do not

have to?) -- it does not behoove us, as Californians say, to FELL

another brother soldier, let alone one who is really a Commander in

this Coalition Army that has brought together very different

individuals in all sense of the term 'different' and who is fighting

for truth, and against misguided logic and misinterpreted reality.

Few names if I may reel off, from memory that fit that bill in my

view: BV Raman, KN Rao, R Santanam, K Goenka, ND Srimali, KS

Krishnamurthi, SG Khot, PS Sastry, RG Rao, GK Rao Meena, S Rath, PVR

N Rao, GK Ojha, B Behari, J Braha, VK Aditya, GD Vasudev, T Territkar

(he did not have to include jyotish in his already successful journal

but chose to do so!), and many others that perhaps did not make this

list because of my failing, selective or overwhelmed memory (whatever

one chooses to believe!).

The strife, and fighting will go on, because we are all riddled with

egos and narcissism, whether we get labelled so or not but through

the picking of pieces in the battlefield, let us not leave behind the

shiny nuggets that had nothing to do with the battle that occurred

but are forever precious!

While we praise and glorify those that brought us so much divine

knowledge despite their being human, let us just cherish and be

grateful for the knowledge and the human vessel that presumably was

chosen by Divinity to bring to us, despite its flaws and blemishes.

The vessel will be reused again, I am sure, but what The Chef

bestowed in it the first time we came to be in contact with the

vessel -- was the real GIFT from Divinity!
