Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha! ------------ Dear Nandan, Thankyou for your input, no i didn't know about the Gohanta Yoga. Regarding Varnadas, ones caste is ones classification of ones activity, not birth-right. Maybe if you see the Varanadas in D-108, you'll be able to classify the persons birth-right. Hence someone born a Sudra can become a Brahmin and etc. Classifying a persons birthright as their activity is straight-forward discrimination, and shouldn't be encouraged. My Grand-dad was a farmer(Sudra), but my father traveled alot and now he's a consultant(Brahmin). Hence my reasoning for analysing the Varnadas vs Nakshatras. But i still need a Butchers chart to experiment on. Best wishes, Visti. --- Nandan.Chakraborty wrote: > > Visti > > From my notes: > > 1. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Visti! The issue of caste by work or birth is not that simple. According to the doctrine of karma, one is born in this life in different situations due to his own inclination (predeliction). A person who loves food and attracted by it will take birth in such situation where he will get his desire (i.e.,) eating food is fulfilled. If a person is a dharmik and want's to achieve moksha, then it is highly likely that he will take birth in a brahmin family, so that he can fulfill his desire of meditation etc. in that situation. Thus eventhough it is not necessary that a brahmin born is also brahmin by karma, however, there is high likelihood that he will be a brahmin in karma too. Infact whatever I wrote is very short and just to give you some idea to ponder upon. Believe me.. these are not my ideas and supported by scriptures. The confusion came due to the Kali..... There is a lot to appreciate in ancient Varna system than to criticise it saying it to be of discrimanation. Anyway I don't wish to get into any kind of Arguements. The Varna System was done for division of labour and not to give some varna, a status that is superior over others. However, over period, the main principles for which it is made is eroded. Thats why the confusion... Regards Sarajit - "Visti Larsen" <in_joy_i_scream > Regarding Varnadas, ones caste is ones classification > of ones activity, not birth-right. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna! ---- Actually Sarajit, our views aren't that far apart, i was infact subtly-referring to Kali Yugas corruption of the varna system. Nevertheless my example was still regarding the labor one does. Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha! -------- Dear Nimmi, Is this a cosmetic surgeon(rahu+venus in 10th Dasamsa)? Notably: (Navamsa)See Ketu placed in 3rd; Scorpio from Lagnamsa = Precise hands. Venus and Mars influence 2nd in Navamsa(Strong sexual desires), as Rahu and Moon are in 9th(Shakti Yoga). Venus is also Atmakaraka. Has the surgeon ever had any problems with patients of opposite sex? Best wishes, Visti. --- Nimmi Ragavan <106350.3660 wrote: > Chart of surgeon > 1st Aprill 1951 > 16:15 pm > 80E0 > 9N40 > +5:30 GMT > > Note Raja Yoga in 8th with 1st and 5th lords > strongly placed. Guest guest
Hi Visti, No, he is a heart surgeon (strong 5th ruler Jupiter and sun in rasi yoga?). And in dasamsa 10th ruler is strongly placed in the 10th and happens to be 5th ruler. Sun is exalted and mutually aspects the 10th lord from the 4th. If he was a cosmetic surgeon, would you not expect mercury the artificer (creator of bhadra yog) to be also involved in it somewhere? Rahu distorts rather than cures I would have thought. It would be interesting to look at a chart for a cosmetic surgeon. I would also expect venus in own sign in rasi for that. I also do not think the 8th house would be so strong. Here he is dealing with matters of life and death as indicated by the 8th. I would more likely expect the association of mars in the 10th where surgeory is used as a tool to achieve other matters, with strong venus, mercury etc. I find that I need to look for confirmation in the divisional charts rather than for interpretations. This may be the selection of charts I have come across. For example, if I look at my rasi chart, my 10th ruler is in the 12th with sun and mars. So almost from the beginning, except for around 4 months, my whole working career was overseas. Sun rules the 3rd and my current and main area is in computing. Mars rules the 6th and 11th, and is very close to my rather strong mercury. So for a while I had a very mathematical career where maths was used as an analytical tool - actuarial valuations of pension funds. I did some teaching at university for a while - 9th ruler saturn aspecting the 10th and in turn aspected by jupiter from the 12th - the teaching was in an overseas university largely during jupiter/saturn. But if I look at my dasamsa, the 10th lord is in the 3rd with the 3rd ruler. So I have stayed longest with the computing career. There is no confirmation of the teaching job - for me it was just something I did while pursuing postgrad studies. Mercury is in the 4th but with moon, not mars. So the mathematical career faded away though I have fond recollections of it and do go back to it occasionally just to some more studies in the area. But the focus seems to be stuck on the 3rd house. Current dasa is saturn. In rasi it is in the 4th house, in dasamsa in the 12th. During this dasa, in Sat/Venus for 2 years I worked from home on software development(that 3rd house again!), but home at that time was overseas! My feeling is that the divisional charts add colour, but within the picture of the rasi chart. I tend now to interpret divisional charts to perhaps narrow something down (if I actually do bother, mostly I am happy with the broad picture) or look for modifying influences. No, he has had no problems with patients at all, but he once had a run in with a nurse who tried to claim he came to operations drunk! This was a subject of an inquiry. It turned out she was married to a rival surgeon who was not happy with this guy's reputation getting too big. He came out of it with shining honours. He is married with children and is rather religious, though he was considered a very handsome eligible bachelor and heartbreaker (!) in his younger days. But he works very hard and is usually stressed out.
