Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Diego! Atmakaraka neecha means lots of trouble in this life. If the neechabanga happens, then the native stands victorious and glorious after the troubles. Infact neecha AK shows that the life has to teach a lot of lesson to him... Vargottama, infact increase the strength of the planet. However, the question here is that, whether it applies also to neecha planet also... I have not seen any author commented on the same excluding one, Pt. Ramakrishna Bhat in his book fundamentals of vedic astrology. There he said that vargottama of the neecha planet makes it much weaker. In my opinion Howeever if neechabhange happens to such planet, it stands out to be very powerful to confer neechabhanga raja yoga. Any planet who is neecha in navamsa causes lots of trouble as it can nullify good yogas associated to the chart and also cause rajabhanga neecha yoga. That is why debilitated vargottama planet becomes weaker. However, weaker the planet becomes in neecha, the stronger the rajayoga becomes if there is neechabhanga. In fact I have Moon in Neecha Vargottama, with deadliest Rahu in the 12th from Dhanu Lagna... I am waiting for it to show its colour... I would appreaciate other commenting on this.... Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha! ------------ Dear Diego & Sarajit, Navamsa shows our inherited Dharma from Past life, and any weak planets in it, is very bad, and can nulify any yogas. If a planet is in debilitated Vargottama, then it can inhibit alot of things from happening.. Guest guest
Dear Friends I red on the Jyotish Pundit Dharma Datta mailing list following statement writen by Pundit: "vargottama neecha. There is no such thing as vargottama neecha. Remember the vargottama principle: a planet having the same sign in lagna chart as well as navamsa, attains status of exaltation. Do not attach any adjective to the sign as ucha, neech, sawa etc. - simply any sign". Please, make a comment on this... Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha! ------------- Dear Diego, This statement comes from the idea that we should only consider houses in Varga charts and not the sign itself. I'm still not sure why this idea has come, but i would surely disgard it. But nevertheless meditate on this; Do planets only get exalted in Rasi? This should answer your question. Guest guest
Dear Sarajit, I have not seen Neecha/Neecha vargottama in charts of people whose life history I know. I have seen Neecha/Uchcha and Uchcha/Neecha though. I believe that Neecha/Uchcha is a form of neechabhanga in itself. Those with this have tended to make a success of their life in the area occupied by that graha often to their own surprise. Others have a better estimate of their abilities than they have themselves. On the other hand, those with the Uchcha/Neecha combination are constantly expecting to succeed, even unrealistically sometimes. This may be different if there are other strong sources of neecha bhanga. But their ambitions almost always centre on the karakatwa of the planet in question. E.g. Venus Uchcha/Neecha who wants to be in the acting industry. Similarly with people whose planet is neecha without strong bhanga. I am not sure why. On the other hand, an Uchcha/Uchcha graha seems to almost take itself for granted, and there may not be an intense interest in the area represented by that graha. E.g. venus uchcha vargottama, likes arts in general, but no strong interest in any of the areas indicated by venus - clothes, appearance, acting etc. Has an instinctive feel for good art, and an ability to point out where something has gone wrong. Same person with jupiter uchcha vargottama - no interest in being rich, no strong feeling of ownership of financial assets, no interest in being respected. But very ethical. This same person has mars and mercury in the 8th house - really the only bad placement in the chart. There is an almost obsessive interest in puzzles, wordgames, computing, a need to know everything, whether useful or not. Was once reputed to have read the encyclopaedia brittanica while sick when young. This makes me wonder whether we, or perhaps those who are interested in developing further, pay attention to those areas of our lives that seem weak. This is just a thought. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Nimmi! In one of my psychology classes, I studyied that, a person who has something in oppulance, stop craving for it after some time and look for some higher need. Generally this is known as Maslows need hierarchy theory. However some others modify that and said that, one person can have craving for more need which might be from different level of hierarchy, such as craving for god (higher hierarchy) and craving for food or sex (lower hierarchy). I can think that all the planets have both the higher level and lower level of significations. If the planet is debilitated, it shows, starvation in that regard and as a result show craving. However, when the same planet it exalted, it tend to give the results of the state if all the basic needs shown by the planet is fulfilled. Which is infact correct, we are most likely to see exalted Venus or neechabhanga Venus in the horoscopes of Saints, who have overcome the cravings of sex and passion and the opposite is also true... Thanks for sharing your thought....
