Guest guest
Dear Sally and friends, > So like a transit or a dasha period. Sally> > May be as sarjit pointed the tapaswi yoga will manifest only when rasi > aspects are involved. Yes, Tapaswi yoga has to be activated by a dasa period. My daughter has Virgo lagna and her 7th house has exalted Venus, Saturn and Ketu! Moreover, Venus is her chara atma karaka (AK - soul). This is Tapaswi yoga of the highest order. This is not only Tapaswi yoga, but a raja yoga too. If the 5th and 9th lords join and aspect lagna and if lagna lord is well-placed, it is a raja yoga according to Parasara. Exalted Venus and Saturn are 9th and 5th lords and they aspect Virgo lagna from Pisces. Lagna lord Mercury is well-placed in a friendly trine - Capricorn. Dispositor of Venus and Saturn - Jupiter - is also well-placed in his moolatrikona - Sagittarius. Making the raja yoga more potent is the fact that Ghati Lagna is in Pisces! Without any doubt, she will engage in a powerful tapasya/sadhana and enjoy great power from it. Her current Rahu dasa and next Jupiter dasa will not bring it. Jupiter dasa during 16-32 years of age will only bring learning, good houses, vehicles and husband (4th and 7th lord in 4th in Gopuramsa and Prakasana avastha). Even Saturn dasa may not bring tapasya as soon as it begins. In my own Saturn dasa, I got things too easily and was quite lackadaisical. Tapasya in Jyotish came towards its end. It came only when the right Lagnamsaka dasa came. My daughter's 3-year Pisces Lagnamsaka dasa will come at an age of 45. THAT is when she will do something. If you ask her at an age of 25 if she feels Tapaswi yoga results, she will say "I don't really feel the results". The right dasa has to come for these things. Secondly, it is true that the dasa is defined based on rasi aspects. However, we should remember that rigid rules don't always work. It is important to understand the underlying logic and adapt. Jyotish is not merely a set of rigid procedures/thumbrules - it is a philosophy. Somebody who has just Venus and Saturn together may also experience Tapaswi yoga if there is some Ketu connection (not necessarily rasi aspect). Let us take Albert Einstein for example. ---------------------------- Albert Einstein Natal Chart March 14, 1879Time: 10:20:00 (LMT)Time Zone: 0:39:56 (East of GMT)Longitude: 9 E 59' 00"Latitude: 48 N 24' 00" Lunar Year: Bahu-dhanyaLunar Month: PhalgunaTithi: Krishna Sapthami (30.13% left)Weekday: FridayNakshatra: Jyeshtha (62.44% left)Yoga: SiddhiKarana: BavaHora Lord: Jupiter Body Longitude Nakshatra Pada Rasi Navamsa ChKarak Lagna 3 Ge 58' 40.76" Mrigasira 4 Ge Sc -Sun 1 Pi 17' 26.08" Poo.Bhaa. 4 Pi Cn DKMoon 21 Sc 40' 29.32" Jyeshtha 2 Sc Cp AmKMars 4 Cp 42' 42.17" U.Shaa. 3 Cp Aq GKMercury 10 Pi 53' 19.27" U.Bhaa. 3 Pi Li PiKJupiter 5 Aq 18' 22.60" Dhanishtha 4 Aq Sc PKVenus 24 Pi 45' 41.19" Revathi 3 Pi Aq AKSaturn 12 Pi 01' 00.43" U.Bhaa. 3 Pi Li MKRahu 9 Cp 18' 30.75" U.Shaa. 4 Cp Pi BKKetu 9 Cn 18' 30.75" Pushyami 2 Cn Vi -Uranus ® 9 Le 06' 42.63" Makha 3 Le Ge -Neptune 15 Ar 42' 04.87" Bharani 1 Ar Le -Pluto 2 Ta 33' 12.98" Krittika 2 Ta Cp -Bhava Lagna 1 Ta 08' 22.66" Krittika 2 Ta Cp -Hora Lagna 1 Cn 09' 17.00" Punarvasu 4 Cn Cn -Ghati Lagna 1 Cp 12' 00.03" U.Shaa. 2 Cp Cp -Vighati Lagna 1 Cn 25' 35.17" Punarvasu 4 Cn Cn -Pranapada Lagna 1 Sc 35' 32.93" Visakha 4 Sc Cn -Sree Lagna 19 Li 11' 52.49" Swathi 4 Li Pi -Indu Lagna 21 Pi 40' 29.32" Revathi 2 Pi Cp -Kunda 22 Le 13' 01.79" Poo.Pha. 3 Le Li -Dhooma 14 Cn 37' 26.08" Pushyami 4 Cn Sc -Vyatipata 15 Sg 22' 33.92" Poo.Shaa. 1 Sg Le -Parivesha 15 Ge 22' 33.92" Aardra 3 Ge Aq -Indra Chapa 14 Cp 37' 26.08" Sravanam 2 Cp Ta -Upaketu 1 Aq 17' 26.08" Dhanishtha 3 Aq Li -Kaala 18 Ge 56' 27.52" Aardra 4 Ge Pi -Mrityu 22 Cn 23' 56.43" Aasresha 2 Cn Cp -Artha Prahara 8 Le 21' 53.96" Makha 3 Le Ge -Yama Ghantaka 24 Le 23' 32.84" Poo.Pha. 4 Le Sc -Maandi 2 Ta 24' 13.57" Krittika 2 Ta Cp -Gulika 14 Ar 45' 22.11" Bharani 1 Ar Le -Varnada Lagna 24 Li 52' 02.23" Visakha 2 Li Ta - +--------------+|Sun Mer |Glk |Mnd |Asc ||Ven Sat | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------||Jup | |Ket HL || | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------| Rasi |-----------||Mar Rah | | ||GL | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------|| |Moo | |AL || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | |+--------------+ +--------------+|Rah | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------||Mar Ven | |Sun HL ||AL | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------| Navamsa |-----------||Moo GL | |Glk ||Mnd | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------|| |Asc Jup |Mer Sat |Ket || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | |+--------------+ +--------------+|Mer |Sat | | || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------||Ven Rah | |HL GL ||Ket AL | |Glk || | | || | | || | Siddhamsa | ||-----------| |-----------|| | D-24 |Sun Mnd || | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------||Moo Jup |Asc |Mar | || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | |+--------------+ Lagnamsaka Dasa (physical manifestation of dharma): Maha Dasas: Sc: 1879-03-14 (10:20:00) - 1882-03-14 (04:54:02) Ge: 1882-03-14 (04:54:02) - 1890-03-14 (05:59:07) Cp: 1890-03-14 (05:59:07) - 1900-03-14 (19:28:06) Le: 1900-03-14 (19:28:06) - 1905-03-15 (02:19:15)>Pi: 1905-03-15 (02:19:15) - 1906-03-15 (08:35:31)<<< Li: 1906-03-15 (08:35:31) - 1912-03-14 (21:17:58) Ta: 1912-03-14 (21:17:58) - 1923-03-15 (17:01:59) Sg: 1923-03-15 (17:01:59) - 1925-03-15 (05:19:23) Cn: 1925-03-15 (05:19:23) - 1932-03-15 (00:26:35) Aq: 1932-03-15 (00:26:35) - 1943-03-15 (20:13:04) Vi: 1943-03-15 (20:13:04) - 1948-03-15 (02:50:18) Ar: 1948-03-15 (02:50:18) - 1958-03-15 (16:32:48) Sc: 1958-03-15 (16:32:48) - 1967-03-15 (23:55:58)---------------------------- Exalted Venus and Saturn in Prakasana avastha are together in the 10th house and Ketu has argala on them. This constitutes Tapaswi yoga. The following factors strengthen it: (1) Saturn is the 8th lord. The 8th house connection is vital in Tapaswi yoga, as the 8th house shows sadhana, hard work and reaching the unknown. (2) Venus and Saturn have an argala on A8. (Note: While the 8th house shows the spirit of working hard (that is internal), A8 shows its material manifestation. If a scientist is passionately thinking about a problem within his mind, the world may not know it. But, if he spends 20 hours a day in a lab, the external world sees it. Arudhas show what exists materially, what manifests in the physical world. They show things that are there for us to see. Spending 20 hours in a lab is shown by A8.) (3) In Siddhamsa (D-24), Venus and Ketu join in philosophical Aquarius and Saturn has rasi aspect on them. This constitutes Tapaswi yoga in the matter of knowledge (D-24) and strengthens the yoga in rasi chart. (4) Venus is AK! Now, timing of the activation: Navamsa lagna is in Scorpio. Jupiter in navamsa lagna gives dhi-sakti (intelligence) and pacifism. Sun and Rahu in trines are responsible for his research abilities. Take lagnamsa (navamsa position of lagna) and put it in rasi chart. It is called Lagnamsaka. Lagnamsaka is in Scorpio in rasi chart. Taking that as the seed (instead of lagna), find Narayana dasa. This shows the progression (with time) of dharmik self (lagnamsaka) in physical life (rasi chart). Calculations are given above. Note that Pisces dasa ran during 1905-06. Pisces contains Tapaswi yoga planets Venus and Saturn. This dasa can activate the yoga and it will last for the entire life. It was indeed during 1905 that Einstein published three important papers. One of them contained a theory that was the basis of all the 20th century advances in physics! He got the idea in the spring of 1905, i.e. just after Pisces dasa started, and developed on it. He received a doctorate for it in 1905. This theory was later known as "special relativity" and paved the way for the theory of general relativity later. So 1905 indeed started Einstein's long tapasya (austere pursuit of Scientific Truth). His tapasya was to unravel great secrets of the Universe and made a great difference to our lives (nuclear bombs, cold war etc etc). Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Narasimha and friends! >From Narasimha's mail, I can conclude that, in Tapaswi Yoga, The aspects and association can aslo be generalised as: 1. Two of the planets are placed in the sign of the 3rd one. 2. There are argala of the planets involved!! Argala shows intervention in the affairs of the house, if the one / two of the planets in the 8 house of research, and the others have argala over it. 3. Planets having rasi aspect on the lagna/ atmakaraka or anyway related to the lagna/ atmakaraka or their lords.. There could be many more.... there is no point in Now I found in my own Navamsa, how the yoga has formed (in a questionnaire survey, I found myself to be more inclined towards research, but I was not very sure how it happened in my case). In the Navamsa, Saturn and Ketu aspect the Atmakaraka, whereas Venus has Dhanargala on the AK. Here Saturn is the 8th lord. In the Rasi Chart, Venus is placed in the 8th aspected by Ketu from the 6th (Dhanu Lagna).... I hope this contributed to some extent to my searching mentality, though I am not into any deep research now!! I would like to lagnamsaka dasa (I think Narayana dasa too) of Cancer (where Venus is placed in the Rasi) will see me doing some research... Regards Sarajit - Narasimha P.V.R.
