my 2 cents worth:

My partner's father never met his father as his father died either before he

was born or soon after. His sun is in the 12th house with mars (ruler of 1st

and 8th). I think his 9th lord Jupiter was in the 3rd aspected by mars, I

remember the aspect on the 7th house, he had a wonderful wife. Venus and

moon were in the 1st giving him very nice curly hair when he was young.

The ruler of the 1st in the 12th also gave a muscular wasting disease later

in life. From memory, his mercury was also in the 12th house, debilitated,

and had won the war with mars. He was an accountant by profession, and came

up quite a bit in life by his own efforts, a neechabhanga effect on mercury,

possibly due to winning the war with mars and thereby gaining strength and

the efforts of mars.
