I don't know How to study South Indian Charts

Reading the South style Charts is simple. The Chart is read CLOCKWISE,

and the Start at the Left Handed Corner is MEENA(PISCES). Next is

Mesha,next Vrishab,and Mithuna. Then goin down you have

Karka,Simha,Kanya. Proceed to Left you get Tula,Vrischik,Dhanu. Go up

you have Makar,Kumbh, and back to Meena. The planets are shown in these

blocks accccccording to the Rashis(signs). The Ascendent is Marked as

ASC or Lagna, in the Rasi House it occupies. Start with this go

clockwise, you will get 2nd,3rd,4th... 12th houses.

In north indian style, the kendras are in the inner part.

Note that, only South Indian regular differs from all other style in the

direction. All other styles, go anti-clock wise where as South Indian regular

style, signs go in clock wise direction.

 

Obviously it is comfortable to get used to one style rather than all styles.

(then it will be easy to remembers aspects, tatwa of signs etc as we can

remember easily. For example, in South Indian style, sign aspects are easy.

Each sign aspects sign angularly close to it and then knigth (in chess) step.

I would advise you to stick to one style, and know the other styles. When you

see chart in other style, you can quickly convert it and re-draw using the

style you are most comfortable.
