Guest guest
Dear Diego, The Gurus on this list follow the teachings of Parasar quite closely, and give prominence to his books as well as Jaiminis. Parasar states in Brihat Parasar Hora Sastra: "Ch. 47 sl.34-39 1/2. In order to clarify the effects of the Dasha of Rahu, I shall first mention the exaltation and debilitation rashis of Rahu and Ketu. The exaltation rashi of Rahu is Taurus. The exaltation rashi of Ketu is Scorpio. The Moola-Trikonas of Rahu and Ketu are Gemini and Sagittarius respectively. The own rashis of Rahu and Ketu are Aquarius and Scorpio in that order. Some sages have expressed the view that Virgo is the own rashi of Rahu and Pisces is the own rashi of Ketu." A corruption is said to have occured in this text, as many traditions take Gemini as the exaltation sign of Rahu. But nevertheless, you can see from the above that the signs of Jupiter are in opposition to the moola-trikona and own signs of Rahu in Gemini and Virgo. Jupiter and Rahu are also worst enemies, so Rahu's placement here is not a comfortable one. As an illustration, I know of a person with Rahu in Saggitarius in the 9th with neechabhanga. He has had many degrees in engineering and wealth during Rahu cycle, but at the same time, he is the most immoral person that I know, and has suffered great mental misery during this cycle. regards, Alex J vedic astrology, alkalay88 wrote: > > Dear Jyotishis > > I dont know why you think that Rahu is debilitated in Sagitarius. > I found in many books that Rahu feels very good in Sagitarius. > Please enlight me. > > Diego
Guest guest
Dear Alex Thank you very much for the explanation. With the previous explanations I was pretty much confused. I am just a beginner. Thanks again.
