Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha! ------------- Dear Alex, Oh comeon, you know perfectly well that Jupiter is the Karaka for Jyotish, as it rules the Dhi-shakti, and the stronger it is, the more aware we become of past, present and future. Mercury doesn't show the same awareness, instead its the student of Jupiter, hence this indicates ones learning ability. The stronger Mercury is the more it acts like in exaltation(virgo), thus its borders of distinction between matters becomes stronger, and the person gets strong mathematical ability. Ketu's influence on the intelligence gives ability to work with mathematical detail and precission, as Mars gives the similar effects in the sense of logic and understanding. Now take Mercury in the chart of an Astrologer, who you consider as very detailed. Now look for the influence of Mars on Mercury and you'll see that their learning abilities are very strict and direct.. such a person has very strong logic. Saturn in Swamsa gives ability to work in all areas of life.. why? Because one will work hard at the activities presented.. This is strengthened by the influence of Ketu and Venus.. Tapaswi Yoga. So how astrological is say.. Rahu? Being the enemy of Jupiter it doesn't try to promote the Dhi-shakti, hence instead it shows the deceptives. best wishes, Visti. --- Alex J <lostinmotion wrote: > Dear Visti, > > Mercury in the 10th is like Saturn in the 1st. > Should this be a > factor as well? > > Why is Mercury the karaka for jyotish? > > warm regards, > > Alex J > > vedic astrology, Visti Larsen > <in_joy_i_scream> > wrote: > > Dear Alex, > > Also; Mercury in 10th from Swamsa gives work with > > traditional sciences. > > > > Best wishes, Visti. > > > > > > --- Alex J <lostinmotion@h...> wrote: > > > Dear Partha, Abhilekh, Doug & Narayan, > > > > > > In addition to all of the informative yogas > given, I > > > thought these > > > few would be of interest. > > > > > > Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra: > > > > > > BPHS ch 33 87: Ketu in the 5th from Swamsa will > make > > > one a > > > mathematician and skilful in Jyotish. Guest guest
I would also say that Rahu in the 5th with the 5th lord (if Me) makes the native an astrologer. If this is in Virgo, nothing like it. Would there be any exceptions to this observation? regards K.Anand --- Visti Larsen <in_joy_i_scream wrote: > Dear Alex, > Just to add. > > Rahu influencing mercury, shows that these learnings > come through research.. Guest guest
I can say Mercury in virgo helps and is good enough. Even without the aid of other planets he helps in Jyotish. Rahu with Budha can probably give Mantra Siddhi as Rahu is an occult planet. Beyond that I don't see Rahu having much to do with astrology. I would favor Kethu, Guru and Budha. regards, Balaji S. --- Anand K <adithyaputra wrote: > I would also say that Rahu in the 5th with the 5th > lord (if Me) makes the native an astrologer. Guest guest
I have kethu with Budha and my karakamsa is Virgo. Budha happened to be the 10th lord. The combination is in Scorpio. I feel that this combination involves indicates lot of effort for work (3rd from Karakamsa) but with out much of good results though it helps in occult. --- lakshman jagannath <lbrahma wrote: > Dear All > Does Ketu has to be in karakamsa or its aspects will > also make one to > incline towards jyotish? > > Thanks and with best regards > > L Brahma > > > > > _______________ > Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at > http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp > > Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger. http://im. Guest guest
Ketu & rahu are not to be linked with jyotissastra.... though ketu is karaka for Intution ..... some persons ...get dreams.....which are going to happen......some kind of intution that is because of ketu....no way related to astrology.... Guest guest
True, but intuition does aid even for astrologers. Quiet often to make a prediction when there are factors that contradict, intuition does help. I see astrology as a blend of reason and intuition. Sometimes people with strong theory fail in predictions while people with good intuition succeed. I hear about One Karve Guruji who gets intuition on the horoscopes. Kethu makes a person spiritual if good aspects are there and it improves the Medha Nadi in the Sadhak which can give intuition as a result. --- vankateshwara srinagesh <sri999 wrote: > Ketu & rahu are not to be linked with > jyotissastra.... > > though ketu is karaka for Intution ..... > > some persons ...get dreams.....which are going to > happen......some kind of intution that is because of > ketu....no way related to astrology.... > > Best Regards > Srinagesh > --- Visti Larsen <in_joy_i_scream wrote: > > Dear Alex, > > Also; Mercury in 10th from Swamsa gives work with > > traditional sciences. > > > > Best wishes, Visti. > > > > > > --- Alex J <lostinmotion wrote: > > > Dear Partha, Abhilekh, Doug & Narayan, > > > > > > In addition to all of the informative yogas > given, > > I > > > thought these > > > few would be of interest. > > > > > > Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra: > > > > > > BPHS ch 33 87: Ketu in the 5th from Swamsa will > > make > > > one a > > > mathematician and skilful in Jyotish. While your feeling that ketu could be related to measuring of time, we feel that this shloka relates to making precise equippment such as computers, electronics which didn't exist in that time...Shani or Kaal Karak is time related graha. Did you notice Matysa Yoga in Parashara? It is a perfect jyotisha Yoga.. Look at SanjayJi Chart ... Best wishes, Zoran
Guest guest
Dear Alex, You are right. Jupiter rules Dhi Shakti and wisdom and spirituality, and integrated intelligence, coupled with knowledge and evolutionary thinking. Budh rules intellect, and discrimination process. Ketu rules mathematics, while Rahu is for research.. A great lot can be seen from Rashi and Navamsa.. Only after detailed examination of these charts, one should go to other vargas..Soma jyotisha have an inner eye to see it from these charts only.. However, Parashara is clear about Shodasavarga system..
