Guest guest
Esteemed Gurus, I find myself in a turbulent time in my life - many, many changes for the better - and I would like some guidance from you all. I have been in the same job for 23 years, and am looking for a change. I started the job in Sept 1979. While the position I hold is highly sought after (only 42 positions like it in the whole US), it has not been as financially lucrative as I would like. I am auditioning (I am a symphony orchestra musician) for 2 positions at the end of this month. The first (on 9/28) is in Chicago and is a HUGE position - one of a handful in the world. The other (on 10/1) is on par financially with the position I currently hold, but is within an easy 70 mile drive of my significant other. Right now we are 2 2-hour plane trips apart. At the same time there is part of me which wants to make a career change... I'm wondering if my chart shows any hope for Jyotish... and I have been involved in a major spiritual shift, since reading Paramahansa Yogananda's _Autobiography of a Yogi_. (Blessings on Paramahansaji!) However, I find that my ability to concentrate (whether on audition preparation, beginning to study Jyotish, or studying the Self-Realization Fellowship lessons) is almost nil. On my chart, I have a Cancer lagna, Moon in 7 in Cap, Leo sun with Mars and Merc combust. Add to that a lovely Jupiter and Venus in Virgo (yikes!) (Venus in Vir in navamsa, too) and you can see that my inner life has not been easy. I was married on July1, 1989, divorced Sept 21, 1992, no children. Not a problem for me (though this may be culture shock for the Indians on this list), as I've never wanted children. Right at the beginning of my Jupiter dasa (right word?) I had a wonderful little dog - a poodle - come into my life. He just left, after 16 years, as I started my Saturn dasa. He was a grand little soul. So, here is my data, and I'm going to attempt to attach a jhl file... Julie Sept 6, 1957 4am CST -6 Austin Texas 30N16, 97W44 9 6 1957 4.0000 6.00 98.30 29.25 Julie and Geno, sweethearts forever!
