Guest guest
Dear Ash, (1) Don't talk about sub-subs. Krishnamoorthy did not teach them. In fact, I wonder if his teachings leave any scope for it. So let us leave sub-subs. (2) As I showed in my probability calculations, some house cusp or the other changes cusp in a 2-minute period. So KP passes the *sanity check* of the twins puzzle (unlike some other branches of astrology). (3) However, comparing subs and divisional charts is not right. Reasons: (a) D-charts were taught by Sages and show various uniform divisions of the zodiac. Subs are non-uniform and based on Vimsottari antardasas. In that light, they have a quite arbitrary basis. (b) In D-charts, we were clearly taught by maharshis that so and so D- chart shows so and so area of life. They help us in differentiating and clarifying. For example, 4th house in D-24 shows education, 4th in D-16 shows vehicle, 4th in D-4 shows house, 4th in D-12 shows mother and so on. D-charts were taught by Sages and they serve well- defined purposes. In the case of subs and KP, they only add to existing parameters without clear differentiation. The only thing you have is that the sub-lord of 4th cusp influences education, vehicle, house, mother, heart etc etc. If the sub-lord of 4th cusp is in 8th (or signifies 8th otherwise), you could predict trouble in education, vehicle, house, mother or whatever. Signification here could come through many sources like occupying/owning the house and being in the constellation of a planet occupying/owning the house. Basically, whatever you normally predict when the 4th lord is in 8th will now work if 4th cusp's sub-lord is in 8th (or signifies 8th). We're not distinguishing between parameters, but adding additional parameters. So, the bottomline is: Subs are not at all similar to divisional charts. The only similarity is that both are divisions of the zodiac. It ends there. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha > Dear Narasimha and Satya, > > I am not familiar with KP astrology but it seems from the math that > if one changes the birth time even by a couple of minutes Sub or Sub > Sub changes. Isnt it similar to the divisional charts whereby if we > change the time by a couple of minutes the sensitive divisional > charts changes. I do not know if KP (methodology as taught) uses > Divisional charts, but it apparantly seems that its using a similar > principles except that the name Divisional Charts dont seem to appear. > > If the divisional charts change by adding a few minutes or > subtracting a few minutes then their lordship also changes and which > depending on the area of influence of the Divison under focus along > with the other paramenters changes isnt that similar to the sub or > sub sub's changing by altering a few minutes +/- birth time. > > Please correct me if my understanding is incorrect. > > Thanks, > Best Regards, > Ash
